摘要： A module for radio frequency signal circuits includes an electrically conductive housing. Coax connectors are secured to the rear face of the housing. A circuit board is contained within the interior spaced between sidewalls of the housing. A ground side of the circuit board includes a layer of electrically conductive material which is electrically connected to the housing. Coax cables extend within the interior of the housing from the coax connectors and between the ground side of the circuit board and an opposing sidewall. An opposite side of the circuit board contains circuit components interconnected with one another through a plurality of circuit paths.

摘要： Broadcast signals are detected and matched with signal information, such as call letters, genre and geographical location for corresponding signal sources, based on the geographical location of the receiver and the frequency at which the signals are broadcast. The signal information is stored with signal and medium selection data, so that signal sources provided via different communication media, such as broadcast radio and Internet streaming audio, can be accessed, sorted, selected and displayed together. Thus, a user can group for display information about signal sources transmitting a type of music that the user enjoys, via any communication medium that the receiver supports. Also, a currently selected signal source and communication medium can be matched with a different communication medium for the same source, so that if the received signal deteriorates, the receiver can switch to the different communication medium for receipt of the same signal.

摘要： A watch type portable radiotelephone is disclosed which includes a body element having upper and lower case frames, data input means, an LCD unit for outputting inputted data and displaying a variety of information, an antenna unit electrically connected to a receiver and a transmitter, a speaker unit, and a microphone unit. The radiotelephone also includes a holding part formed integrally with the lower case frame of the body element. The holding part at least partially defines a receiving space in which a battery pack for supplying power to the body element is able to be received. The holding part secures the battery pack to the body element. A locking projection for locking and unlocking the battery pack to and from the body element is formed on the battery pack. An electrically conductive connection assembly is provided for electrically connecting the body element and the battery pack with each other. A wrist band is connected to the body element for enabling the portable radiotelephone to be worn around the wrist.

As a result, the conductor portion of the antenna is positioned in an outermost portion of the communication device module. Therefore, the dimension of strap in the thickness direction and the dimension of the communication device case in the plane direction can be set to small values, respectively. In addition, favorable feeling of wearing the communication device can be obtained, and the size of the communication device as a whole can be made small.

The communication system in accordance with the teachings of the present invention includes a base unit and a removable unit. The base unit is provided with a cavity to insert the removable unit. The communication system is rendered inoperable when the removable unit is removed from the base unit. The removable unit is provided with two surfaces that perform different function. In particular when the removable unit is inserted into the base unit and the first surface is exposed then the communication system operates as a radio player. The removable unit is capable of being reversed such that second surface is exposed, then the communication system operates as a telephone unit.

An RF connector for antenna connection is placed on a different surface as those of the other RF connectors. Alternatively, a radiator section of an antenna can be placed and formed on one plane of the radio-frequency circuit module. The mounting of the MIC, MMIC, or the like is realized by wire bonding or by bumps. The RF connectors are connected in a pseudo-coaxial line.

Housings for electronic, RF, and support components of the transceiver with an RF transparent cover are stacked vertically in a multilayer structure. The channelized RF housing affects a reduction of 5:1 by minimizing the components placed on the housing. The design and position of the regulator/controller allows the use of surface mount parts and simplified DC and RF interfaces further contributing to design efficiency and reduced costs. Additionally, costs are reduced through the appropriate selection and application of materials. The generic housing for the millimeter wave module assembly accommodates frequencies from 20 to 40 GHz without design change, thus improving the modular character.
