    • Broadcast signals are detected and matched with signal information, such as call letters, genre and geographical location for corresponding signal sources, based on the geographical location of the receiver and the frequency at which the signals are broadcast. The signal information is stored with signal and medium selection data, so that signal sources provided via different communication media, such as broadcast radio and Internet streaming audio, can be accessed, sorted, selected and displayed together. Thus, a user can group for display information about signal sources transmitting a type of music that the user enjoys, via any communication medium that the receiver supports. Also, a currently selected signal source and communication medium can be matched with a different communication medium for the same source, so that if the received signal deteriorates, the receiver can switch to the different communication medium for receipt of the same signal.

    • A communication device (100) operates in first and second modes of operation including a dispatch mode of operation and a telephone mode of operation.     • A watch type portable radiotelephone is disclosed which includes a body element having upper and lower case frames, data input means, an LCD unit for outputting inputted data and displaying a variety of information, an antenna unit electrically connected to a receiver and a transmitter, a speaker unit, and a microphone unit. The radiotelephone also includes a holding part formed integrally with the lower case frame of the body element. The holding part at least partially defines a receiving space in which a battery pack for supplying power to the body element is able to be received. The holding part secures the battery pack to the body element. A locking projection for locking and unlocking the battery pack to and from the body element is formed on the battery pack. An electrically conductive connection assembly is provided for electrically connecting the body element and the battery pack with each other. A wrist band is connected to the body element for enabling the portable radiotelephone to be worn around the wrist.

    • The housing (12) for a portable device (10) has a cavity (40) which engages a boss (28) on a U-shaped clip (22) to prevent a relative rotation between the housing (12) and the U-shaped clip (22) whenever a force is exerted on the free end of the U-shaped clip (22) when fitted over a belt. The boss (28) is disengaged from the cavity (40) whenever a force is applied which deforms the U-shaped clip (22), thereby allowing the housing (12) to be rotated to view an annunciator presenting a message. The U-shaped clip (22) rotates about a pivot formed by a first boss (26), and second boss (24) having a D-shape, which engage a first bearing (42) and second bearing (44), respectively. The D-shape of the second boss (24) and configuration of the second bearing (44) enable the U-shaped clip (22) to be assembled to/disassembled from the housing (12).
