摘要： According to an aspect of present disclosure, a phase shifter for providing a desired phase shift to a very high frequency signal fabricated as part of the an integrated circuit comprises a first coil segment and a second coil segment together forming an inductor of first inductance value, a first capacitor of first capacitance value electrically connected parallel the inductor, a second capacitor of second capacitance value electrically connected between the first coil segment and the second coil segment and a resistor of a first resistance value electrically connected parallel to the second capacitor, in that, the inductor, first capacitor, second capacitor and the resistor together operative as a phase shifter such that when a input signal of a first frequency is presented across the first capacitor, the output signal across the resistor is phase shifted version of the input signal shifted in phase by a first angle.

Embodiments include a hybrid coupler connected to parallel resistance-reactance (RX) circuits, where the reactance X may be a capacitor C or an inductor L; a hybrid coupler connected to parallel RX circuits (which may be variable), each of which is in turn series coupled to an inductive element L which corrects for attenuation range collapse while providing for fairly flat phase shift and attenuation performance as a function of frequency; and two hybrid couplers in a combined phase shifter and attenuator configuration, each with opposite frequency-dependent slopes and cascaded in series such that the slopes substantially cancel each other out, resulting in flat responses versus frequency.

摘要： A phase shifter includes first and second RF terminals, a reference potential terminal; a lumped element LC network connected to the first and second RF terminals and the reference potential terminal, and first and second active semiconductor devices connected to the lumped element LC network and to the reference potential terminal. Each of the first and second active semiconductor devices include a control terminal and first and second output terminals. The lumped element LC network presents a reactance across the first and second RF terminals that shifts the phase of an RF signal as between the first and second RF terminals. The first and second active semiconductor devices are configured to tune the phase shift of the RF signal by controlling the reactance across the first and second RF terminals.

摘要： This invention relates to analog phase shifters, and more particularly, to analog phase shifters for controlling the phase of an RF signal over a wide range of frequencies with nearly linear phase change. An exemplary phase shifter includes a front end high-low pass filter, a back-end high-low pass filter, and an all-pass filter coupled in series between the two high-low pass filters. At least one of the filters is tunable for controlling the phase of an input signal over a wide range of frequencies. The high-low pass filter comprises low-pass filters as input and output interface for the high-low pass filter to facilitate impedance match for receiving and outputting RF signal.

摘要： A multi-state phase shifter circuit having both low insertion loss (IL) and good return loss. Two or more phase shift elements are combined into a single cell architecture to reduce the number of series-connected FET switches and reduce the total IL. One embodiment has two ports connected by parallel signal paths each comprising a pair of switches and a phase shift element comprising, for example, an inductor, a capacitor, a transmission line, or a conductor. Another embodiment has two ports connected by parallel signal paths each comprising a switch and at least one associated phase shift element. The switches in each parallel signal path allow the associated phase shift element to be placed in-circuit under the control of an applied signal. The sets of switches may be independently controlled, so that multiple parallel signal paths may be switched into circuit between the phase shifter circuit ports at the same time.

An outphasing amplifier includes a first amplifier and a second amplifier. A circulator is provided having a first port coupled to an output of the outphasing amplifier, a second port coupled to a load and a third port coupled to a phase shifter. The phase shifter is configured to provide a different phase angle of a reflected signal from the phase shifter to the outphasing amplifier through the circulator.
