    • A system, device and method are claimed for installing electrical switches and electrical plug connectors in a wall, without the use of junction boxes. The system uses prefabricated switch assemblies and/or receptacle assemblies. These assemblies contain either a switch or a receptacle that is manufactured into a housing. On the rear of the housing are one or two protrusions. Wire connector ports are disposed within the areas defined by the protrusions. The wire connector ports are coupled to either the switch or receptacle within the housing. To install an assembly, at least one hole is drilled into a wall and a cable run through the hole. The wires from the cable are stripped and inserted into the wire connector ports within the protrusion on the rear of the assembly. The protrusion is then inserted into the hole in the wall and the assembly is mounted flush on the face of the wall.

    • The present invention provides a method and apparatus for mobile lightning protection. In one embodiment of the present invention, a lightning interception rod is positioned above a vehicle. In one embodiment, the rod connects to four down-conductors to conduct the current supplied by the lightning towards the ground. In one embodiment, the four down-conductors are positioned in a rectangular configuration. In one embodiment, down-conductors are covered by a insulating material. In one embodiment, the insulating material is a 3 mm thick layer of polymer. In one embodiment, one or more chains are attached to the vehicle and allowed to contact the ground. In one embodiment, two chains are attached to the vehicle. One chain is positioned at the front of the vehicle and another chain is positioned at the back of the vehicle.

    • The present invention provides a containment apparatus for cables, wires, and other cylindrical objects. The containment apparatus includes a channel member adapted to be attached to a clip member, the clip member is adapted to receive the channel member and is adapted to be mounted to a surface such as an exterior wall or a pole.     • Spark-resistant structure for use with aircraft, including a sheet-shaped external element made of a composite material with an exterior face bearing an electrically conducting surface layer for dissipating lightning energy. The external element also has an interior face. The structure further includes a sheet-shaped internal element with exterior and interior faces. The interior face of the external element is least partially superimposed on the exterior face of said internal element. Each element has holes which are aligned with each other. The structure also includes a fixing structure for holding the elements together in a fixed position passing through the aligned holes and forming an alignment. The fixing structure electrically contacts the conducting surface layer. Additionally, a first electrically conducting strip is positioned under the conducting surface layer of the external element, and it extends longitudinally in a direction of the alignment of the fixing structure. Moreover, the fixing structure passes through and makes an electrical contact with the first electrically conducting strip. The electrical contact between the fixing structure, as well as the electrical contact between the conducting surface layer and the conducting strip are both obtained by electrically conducting paste introduced into the holes in the external element.

    • An electrical and electronic equipment installation pad includes a precast concrete support slab 40 having an electrically conductive pathway disposed therein. The pathway may be comprised of a plurality of steel reinforcing rods 42 welded to one another to form a grid 44. Coil loop inserts 46 disposed within the slab 40 and welded to the grid 44 receive electrically conductive bolts for securing the equipment 20 on the slab 40. Galvanized inserts 48, 50 having bolts 52, 54 extending therefrom are also disposed within the slab 40 and welded to the grid 44. Ground rod leads 34 from ground rods 36 installed in the ground proximate to the pad 10 are connected to the galvanized inserts 48, 50 providing a path for fault currents from the equipment 20 through the grid 44 to ground. The pad 10 may be used to install equipment 20 at a desired location by first securing the equipment 20 on the pad 10 while the pad 10 is at a location remote from the desired location and then moving the pad 10 to the desired location. Ground rod leads 34 from ground rods 36 installed in the ground proximate to the pad 10 are then connected with the galvanized inserts 48, 50 to ground the equipment 20.
