摘要： A frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) light detection and ranging (LIDAR) system that includes an optical source to generate light at a target frequency. The system also includes a first transistor to transmit a modulation current through a modulation path that includes the optical source and a modulation resistor. The system also includes electro optical circuitry coupled to the first transistor to produce a phase locked loop. The system also includes a second transistor to transmit a bias current through a bias path that includes the optical source and is separate from the modulation path, wherein the bias path is separate from the modulation path.

The carrier and/or the thin-film structure include a surface of the carrier in the region of the thin-film structure is smoothed at least in sections to reduce the adhesion and/or a surface of the carrier has an intermediate layer on which the thin-film structure is arranged. The thermal expansion coefficient of the intermediate layer is from 8*10−6/K to 16*10−6/K, in particular from 8.5*10−6/K to 14*10−6/K, and/or the thin-film structure has at least one conductor path that is undular at least in sections, said conductor path extends laterally along the surface of the carrier.

The device includes a laminar PTC element composed of a conductive polymer composition sandwiched between two metal foil electrodes. The device has low resistance, low capacitance, reduced size, and stable resistance, and can meet power cross testing requirements. In addition, assemblies of electrical devices are provided.

摘要： The invention provides a retainer system for retaining a positive temperature coefficient resistor in a heater housing shaft having a shaft side wall. The retainer system includes a base, a spring, and shaft engagement means. The spring is formed in and spaced apart from the base. The spring extends radially outwardly from a longitudinal axis of the base and the spring has a neck that curves radially backwardly, spaced apart from the base and toward the longitudinal axis of the base. The spring also has a contact surface presented outwardly, away from the base. The shaft engagement means are for engaging the shaft side wall and securing the base within the shaft at a desired distance from the resistor. The retainer system can be secured within the shaft with the spring flexed to a desired extent and with the contact surface urged against the resistor to retain the resistor in the shaft.

摘要： Surface-mountable devices include a conductive polymer layer between first and second electrodes, on which are disposed first and second insulation layers, respectively, with first and second planar terminals on the second insulation layer. A first cross-conductor connects the second electrode to the first terminal, and is separated from the first electrode by a portion of the first insulation layer. A second cross-conductor connects the first electrode to the second terminal, and is separated from the second electrode by a portion of the second insulation layer. At least one cross-conductor may include a beveled portion through the first insulation layer. Alternatively, at least one cross-conductor may contact an anchor pad on the first insulation layer, the anchor pad having a small area relative to the areas of the terminals. Enhanced adhesion between the cross-conductor(s) and the first insulation layer is provided, while allowing thermal expansion without excessive stress.

摘要： An expansion joint for metallic foil strip heaters encasing resistive heating elements comprised of a bend formed in the metallic foil strips. The expansion joint is formed by use of a tool for passing a roller in the tool handle over a rigid forming support affixed to the tool bottom forming plate with the metallic foil strip heater placed between the roller and the forming support. The tool is then removed and a flexible metal support hose is affixed to the object to be heated with the bend in the metallic foil strips placed over this support hose. The bend is then affixed to the object to be heated on either side of the support hose.
