    • A magnetic head assembly with dual parallelogram supporting structure device and method of making the same has a single or multiple track magnetic stripe read head transducer mounted to a support structure by a dual parallelogram spring structure. This dual spring structure allows the head to move perpendicularly and rotationally to the magnetic stripe while preventing the head from rotating in the y direction, namely, preventing lateral movement. The novel magnetic head assembly is produced using a rapid and accurate assembly without the use of mounting screws in single and multiple track configurations. The unique spring also reduces wear on the magnetic heads which increases the functional life of the unit. The simple construction allows inexpensive manufacture of the magnetic head assembly, yet the durability of available manufacturing materials and the structure of the spring provide the magnetic head assembly with a long useful life, requiring little or no maintenance expense or upkeep.

    • An audio/control head for used in a Video Cassette Recorder or the like has a core holder 11 arranged to include positioning portions 24 and 25 for determining the pitch length P1 and pressing tabs 23 having an elasticity for pressing inwardly cores members 15 and 17 against the positioning portions 24 and 25 from the outer side. As the cores members 15 and 17 are held directly on the positioning portions 24 and 25, they are inwardly pressed by the pressing tabs 23. Then, the core pitch p1 is precisely determined between the audio core and the control core without using a particular jig during the assembly. The overall number of jigs required for mounting the cores to the core holder can be reduced. Also, the core pitch P1 can be improved in the accuracy and the characteristics of the head will be consistent.

    • A magnetic head exhibits a good traceability without damaging itself or a magnetic disk. The magnetic head includes a slider, and the slider includes a plurality of magnetic cores and an outrigger having a plurality of substantially rectangular slots.
