摘要： A tape cassette includes a cassette housing composed of an upper cassette part and a lower cassette part, a slider slidably attached to the cassette housing so as to open and close an opening in the lower surface of the housing, a slider lock portion provided on the lower cassette part to lock the slider at a predetermined position, and an engagement aperture bored through the slider so as to oppose an engagement portion of the slider lock portion for engagement therewith, which has an inclined portion formed at one end. Further, the tape cassette includes a protruded pin projected from the upper cassette part opposing the slider lock portion, and a spring fit around the protruded pin and interposed between the slider lock portion and the upper cassette part such that the slider lock portion is biased in a direction of engagement with the engagement aperture, wherein at least one end portion of the spring is bent toward the inside of a coil winding portion to form a pin supporting portion which is wound around the protruded pin.

摘要： The invention relates to a break-resistant tape cartridge. Reinforcing ribs on the housing and door of the cartridge protect against breakage. The reel and brake of the cartridge employ short teeth with widened roots that strengthen the teeth and reduce shear forces which might cleave the teeth from the reel or the brake. An extra lobe on the hinge of the door reinforces the hinge. The door and the housing are made of a plastic that lacks glass fibers or has a reduced glass fibers content. Furthermore, the plastic without glass fibers improves wear-resistance, and reduces production of debris that can damage the tape and devices that read the tape. The result is a cartridge which is less prone to breakage and wear. The reel may be used in applications other than tape cartridges.

摘要： A single-reel magnetic tape cartridge has a cartridge casing and a single reel around which a magnetic tape is wound and which is contained in the cartridge casing for rotation, in which the magnetic tape is fixed at the leading edge thereof to a leader pin employed for extracting the magnetic tape from the cartridge and the flanges at the upper and lower ends of the leader pin are engaged by the lateral drawing force of a latch spring removably held in the tape cartridge casing. Even for cases in which there is a deviation in the insertion position in which leader pin is inserted by the record and playback apparatus, etc. causing the entry path of the leader pin into the cartridge casing to be off track, etc., it is still possible for the leader pin to be inserted into the cartridge casing. The incline angle, in relation to the insertion direction of the leader pin, at the point at which the flanges of the leader pin are brought into abutment with the guide surface of the latch spring is set within the range of 30°±5°.
