    • A method and data processing apparatus for performing automated trust negotiations between first and second parties connected over a network can include providing each party with a set of credentials. The method also can include classifying one or more credentials in the set of credentials for the first party as sensitive, such that they can only be disclosed to another party subject to certain predetermined criteria. The method further can include establishing negotiations over the network between the first and second parties in order to complete a desired transaction, wherein the transaction is only authorized to proceed if at least one of the parties receives certain predetermined credentials from the other party. Finally, the method can include transmitting at least one of the one or more sensitive credentials from the first party to the second party as part of said negotiations, subject to the first party previously receiving from the second party one or more credentials that satisfy said certain predetermined criteria.

    • The present invention discloses the use of an improved stop-loss and trailing stop-loss order system. Existing systems only allow one stop-loss or trailing stop-loss value to be used resulting in the complete liquidation of the investment once the value is breached. The improved system of the present invention involves the use of two or more different protection levels per security, some of which may adjust based on the current share price of an investment and some which remain static. Thus, the stop-loss and trailing stop-loss system of the present invention allows for an investment to be liquidated over time in an incremental fashion as opposed to complete liquidation of an investment at one time. The improved stop-loss and trailing stop-loss order system is completely adjustable based on the risk tolerance of the client and is based on an amount instead of a percentage. In a preferred embodiment is used in conjunction with an electronic portfolio management system.

    • The computerized bidding method matches hospitality facility data and meeting requirement data, permits the posting of offers and responsive bidding by both hospitality facility vendors and meeting planners, and facilitates the exchange of data and enables an auction between multiple parties. The hospitality facility data represents vendors for hotel facilities, meeting room facilities or other hospitality facilities. Meeting requirement data represents the necessities of a plurality of meeting planners for a corresponding plurality of meetings or events. The system and the method stores data in a database. Meeting planner offers (meeting requirement data) are posted to the database. The system matches the meeting requirement data with previously stored hospitality facility data Meeting requirement data (offers) is typically truncated or blinded to all parties except the posting party. The blinded offer is sent to hospitality vendors which match the meeting requirements. The hospitality vendors then submit specific hospitality facility data or bids. The system and method permits the meeting planner offeror to select a predetermined number (typically 3) of vendor bids. Thereafter, the system and the method exchanges contact data and a full details of the offer and the selected bids to the offeror and the selected bidders. The meeting planner offeror can reject all bids and request new bids. The system and the method also enables the hospitality vendor to offer hospitality facilities. Blinded facilities offer data is presented to one or more inquiring meeting planners. Meeting planners can bid by submitting specific facilities requirement data (bid data). The meeting planner bids are typically, initially blinded (to remove bidder name, etc.). The hospitality vendor offeror is permitted to select a predetermined number (3) of the blinded meeting planner bids (specific requirement data) and, upon selection, the system enables direct communication.

    • In a drawdown strategy for an investor's retirement fund, assets from the fund are allocated between a drawdown account and an option annuity. The drawdown account contains assets that are invested in the markets, and the option annuity contains annuities that begin to pay at the end of a deferral period. In a first phase of investor's retirement, funds are drawn down from the drawdown account and paid to the investor, and the value of the option annuity grows as proceeds from the option annuity are accumulated by the option annuity. At some point the drawdown account is depleted, which corresponds to the end of the deferral period for the option annuity. At this time, a second phase of the retirement begins wherein the investor receives payments from the option annuity, and this continues for the remainder of the investor's life.

    • A computerized drop safe running control and security software on a central processing unit controlling (CPU) operating features on and access to the drop safe. A user hierarchy has different access policies for making different transactions into the safe. Vault door access is controlled by the CPU to allow user access according to enabled policies. Transactions into and out of the safe vaults, motovend tube dispenser, and currency recyclers are recorded by the amounts and the user making the transaction into a memory coupled to the CPU. This data is also reported to a point of sale control interface at another location using a modem or Ethernet connection. The CPU can also receive data and control inputs by the modem and Ethernet, permitting centralized accounting and vending control options. A back office at the store can also easily access the safe for data retrieval or control inputs into the CPU using an Ethernet local area network computer system.A unique report script subprogram is also operated on the CPU. This subprogram is a report script program that allows a user lacking computer language knowledge and code writing expertise to design customized report formats. The report script program executes instructions to generate the specified reports as a stream of Unicode characters at the specified times using the transaction data stored in the memory.
