    • Scalable, common reference-clocking architecture and method for blade and rack servers. A common reference clock source is configured to provide synchronized clock input signals to a plurality of blades in a blade server or servers in a rack server. The reference clock signals are then used for clock operations related to serial interconnect links between blades and/or servers, such as QuickPath Interconnect (QPI) links or PCIe links. The serial interconnect links may be routed via electrical or optical cables between blades or servers. The common reference clock input and inter-blade or inter-server interconnect scheme is scalable, such that the plurality of blades or servers can be linked together in communication. Moreover, when QPI links are used, coherent memory transactions across blades or servers are provided, enabling fine grained parallelism to be used for parallel processing applications.

    • Dynamic operating conditions of a fluid logic integrated circuit module are shown on a front panel circuit schematic diagram with dynamic pressure indicators located for viewing at monitored schematic circuit positions to provide diagnostic information for servicing or monitoring a system sequence. The module comprises a sandwich array of two logic element plate layers with an intermediate taut flexible elastomer diaphragm layer common to a plurality of logic elements spaced on the two logic plates with mating cavity wells for the individual logic elements disposed on opposite sides of the diaphragm. Adjacent one logic element plate is the pressure indicator panel having a foam layer common with a plurality of indicator units, which are connected to preselected monitor points in the module to display the states of the elements and the pressure conditions of the supply fluid sources or input and output channels. A back panel includes a visual circuit connecting diagram for the particular custom circuit showing where to connect hoses between various modular access channels, so that the systems can be connected and put into service on-site by unskilled personnel. A set of indicators thus connected into any particular circuit design is set apart for viewing in position on a schematic circuit overlay on the front panel which blocks out the unused indicators in the module.

    • A mechanical computer wherein thrust of a first bellows is force-balanced by a deflectable lever against the thrust of a second bellows, and third bellows varies the moment arm of the thrust of the second bellows on the lever. This moment arm is prevented from becoming zero by providing an arm on said lever through which the thrust of the third bellows beings to provide a moment in the same sense as the moment of the thrust of the first bellows. The moment of the thrust of the second bellows is applied to the first lever through a second lever at a point of the first lever determined by the thrust of the third bellows. As the second lever has to deflect in two different directions simultaneously, it is provided with a flexure pivot having a stiff elastic rod allowing universal flexing, and also may have a relatively limber elastic flat strip arrangement fixing the rod''s center of flexing.
