    • The slide projector (4) for single-slide, lap-dissolve or stereo projection, which works on the gravity feed principle, is designed for operation with linear slide trays (1, 2) divided into compartments. At the top, it has either two receptacles for slide-tray covers (2, 5) or one receptacle (4g) and one cover (4h) integral with the housing of the projector. When being placed on the projector, the slide tray is automatically unlocked, so that the housing of the tray becomes shiftable. Switching means ensure that the projector cannot operate until the slide tray is properly positioned. The projector also has a variable electronic light intensity control facility. It initiates no projection when a tray compartment is empty.The slide tray (1, 2) is so designed that slides are loaded into the housing (1) of the tray from above in an upright and laterally correct image position; the housing (1) is then closed with the cover (2). During projection, the cover forms the bottom of the slide tray.

In the projection position of the slide projector support members (12,13 and, respectively, 16,17) facing to the toothed belts (2,3) are provided for the slide frames (8). Levers (20,21) are provided behind the toothed belts (2,3) directly in front of the respective slide magazine (10,11) for inserting the slide frames (8).

    • A slide projector is juxtaposed with a slide magazine in a housing. One of the projector and magazine is movably mounted so that each slide may be aligned with where it may be loaded into the projector and unloaded back into the magazine. At the loading station a pair of pivotable, opposed toggles operated by an eccentric device frictionally rollingly grip and release two opposite edges of the slide with reversibly driven rollers. In a disclosed elaboration, a plurality of slide magazines are disposed on a spider, which may be rotated to bring any selected magazine into juxtaposition with the projector. In the elaborated version shown, the slide projector is laterally movably mounted for temporary retraction during indexing of the spider.

These displacements are possible due to a recuperator having multiple functions. Simultaneously to the displacement of the recuperator, a double potentiometer in relation with an electronic device effects cross-fading. This projector may be used for simple projection, but without a gap between two transparencies, for 3-D and for double-width panning.

    • A magazine-type slide projector has a single slide projection accessory that is removably placeable across the magazine track. The accessory has a slide compartment positioned on the slide changing plane, and the compartment has an open top edge and an open side edge facing the slide projection position.     • An arrangement for controlling the advance of a magazine in a transparency projector in which a fork advancing the magazine, is subjected to the action of a return spring having one end constantly fixed to a control member which is pivotally mounted about a fixed axis. An operating member having a cam-shaped portion cooperates with the control member so that the advance of the operating member towards the fork initially pivots the control member due to the action of the cam-shaped portion. The fork becomes thereby pivoted by the return spring until the extreme position is reached, in which the fork is locked against the magazine. When the operating member is withdrawn, the fork is released from engagement with the magazine.

    • A slide projector adapted to alternately receive at least two slide trays having different shapes and different indexing configurations is provided. The projector comprises a slide tray receiving groove having tray guide means for slidably engaging corresponding support surfaces formed on the slide trays, and a reversible slide tray indexing mechanism having an indexing lever mounted for slidable and pivotable movement and including a pair of pawls for sequential engagement with the respective indexing racks of the alternate trays, to incrementally advance either of said trays from one slide position to the next. A reciprocal slide carrier for transporting the slides from the trays to the viewing position is provided with a camway in operative engagement with the indexing lever to impart the required movement thereto during each slide changing cycle. The projector also includes slidable tray retainer means formed as a part of the tray guide means to support the edge of one of said trays to maintain the same in engagement with the indexing mechanism.
