    • Firing mechanism for fire arms, includes a hammer (5) revolving between a "cocked" position and a "tumbled" position which makes contact with the striker (4), a tumbler (8) which can retain the hammer (5) in the cocked position, a trigger (13) which controls the tumbler (8), an assembly (20) to make the hammer (5) revolve from its cocked position towards the striker (4) of the arm when the hammer (5) is released by the tumbler (8), and a security device containing a bolt element (27) which can be manually locked and which can lock the trigger (13). The bolt element (27), in the security position, not only cooperates with the trigger (13), but simultaneously with the assembly (20) to make the hammer revolve in order to prevent the hammer (5) from knocking against the striker (4) as long as the bolt element (27) is in its security position.

    • An apparatus comprises a trigger assembly for initiating a firing of a firearm. The trigger assembly comprises a trigger blocking portion. A safety selector lever is configured for joining to the firearm. The safety selector lever has an on position with the safety selector generally in a downward position and accessible to a user's thumb of a hand gripping a grip of the firearm. The safety selector is rotatable by the user's thumb to an off position where the user operates the trigger assembly while maintaining the safety selector in the off position. A safety cam is in engagement with a pivot end of the safety selector. The safety cam is configured for engaging the trigger blocking portion in the on position to inhibit the firing and for engaging the trigger blocking portion in the off position.

    • The present invention provides a magazine holding ammunition and electronic components arranged to be locked/unlocked biometrically or by radio signal, the magazine comprising a housing having a capacity for holding both a column of cartridges and electronic components. The housing being dimensioned to be insertable into a standard firearm without requiring any modification of the firearm. Further, the magazine includes an assembly for preventing the charging of the firearm by a mechanical element extending longitudinally outside of the housing or a cartridge barrier element preventing cartridges exiting the magazine housing; and manually or electro-mechanic actuating means for pulling/pushing the mechanical elements in response to a received radio signal, or biometrically released; and electronic means in the housing for processing incoming radio signals for actuating all means and a mobile power supply attached to the housing.
