摘要： An example Smart Candle Platform is configured to includes a candle fixture that comprises an outer shell having an opening, a mid-frame, and a base, and a fuel bottle configured to hold a fuel material and is removably coupled to the candle fixture. The fuel bottle is positioned at least partially within a hollow interior of the mid-frame of the candle fixture and accommodated by the base. The fuel bottle further comprises a wick that extends through an opening of the outer shell, and the candle fixture includes an ignitor configured to ignite the fuel material via the wick to produce a living flame. The candle fixture further includes an inner cover having one or more reinforcement ribs configured to provide structural support for the one or more ignitors.

摘要： A device includes a flame bowl with a snuffer sleeve situated therein. The snuffer sleeve has a lowered position allowing a wick to burn freely and a raised position wherein the sleeve impedes oxygen flow to the wick, the snuffer sleeve being biased toward the raised position. A shelf extends from the snuffer sleeve to receive a movable weight that rests on the shelf when the flame bowl is upright and the snuffer sleeve is moved to the lowered position. The movable weight retains the snuffer sleeve in the lowered position while the flame bowl remains upright but moves to allow the snuffer sleeve to extend to the raised position when the flame bowl departs from the upright position more than a predetermined amount.

The outer shell may be changeable/replaceable allowing for style and or seasonal changes. A Smart Candle Platform having multiple interactive systems and sensors for production of natural light via a safe, controllable device which may communicate with other similar configured devices or smart devices having application software embedded therein i.e. a smart phone having an app. is disclosed. The Smart Candle Platform may be configured to allow for auto-extinguishment. The Smart Candle Platform may be configured to allow for the addition of smells or scents.

In the device, a gear which is loosely fitted on a wick actuating shaft and has a return spring loosely fitted on the shaft and fixed between the gear and a burner body is formed with a cutout about a portion thereof opposite to a stopper engaged with the gear when the gear is at a wick raising position. At the cutout is arranged a stop gear so as to be engaged with the stopper at the wick raising position, which is formed of a material having a friction coefficient smaller than that of the gear.

摘要： A wick temperature control unit is provided for controlling the temperature of a wick having the lower end portion dipped in a fuel tank for storing liquid fuel and the upper end portion inserted in a combustion chamber through a narrow path. The wick soaks up the liquid fuel by capillary action in the combustion chamber and evaporates the liquid fuel therein. The wick temperature control unit holds the temperature of the upper end portion of the wick in accordance with a given heating power state, thereby contributing to widen a heating power adjustment range.

A snuffer in the canister has a sleeve extendible from a first retracted position to a second extended position, the second extended position extending the sleeve partially beyond the wick holder. When the canister is upright the snuffer remains in the first lowered position and when the canister is tilted beyond a predetermined angle the spring moves the sleeve to the second extended position.

摘要： A flame-retardant wick holder for a candle is made of a material having a UL-94 vertical burn test rating of at least V-0, including polymers and ceramics. The wick holder supports a wick at the bottom of a candle. The wick holder material causes the flame on the wick to extinguish when it reaches the holder, thereby preventing flashover of the residual candle fuel at the end of the candle useful life. One version of the holder has a cylindrical sleeve fit over a wick clip holding the lower end of the wick. The cylindrical holder is well adapted for use in pillar-type candles.

摘要： A safety device for preventing uncontrolled burning in wick-fed liquid fuel burners employs a solenoid (76) and a thermocouple (18) in combination with a microswitch (80). When excess fuel enters the fuel chamber (40), a float (30) is urged upward, which forces a pin (28) upward, causing a microswitch (80) to open, thereby interrupting the electrical communication between the solenoid and thermocouple. As a result, a spring (24) can act to force an arm (14) upward, actuating the automatic wick extinguishing unit (42). Also, the mechanism prevents re-ignition of the wick (54) until the excess fuel is removed from the fuel chamber. When the fuel in the fuel chamber exceeds a predetermined level, a warning gauge needle (84) is deflected, alerting the user of the liquid fuel burner to a dangerous condition.
