    • A light system including: (a) a first light region configured to provide a first light function; (b) a second light region configured to provide a second light function that is different from the first light function; (c) a blocker located between the first light region and the second light region so that when the first light function is activated, light from the first light region is prevented from passing to the second light region by the blocker and when the second light function is activated, light from the second light region is prevented from passing to the first light region by the blocker; (d) a textured surface in the first light region, the second light region, or both; and (e) a texture shutoff located between the textured surface in the first light region, the second light region, or both and located between the textured surface and the blocker so that the texture surface prevents material of the first light region, the second light region, the blocker, or a combination thereof from forming flash on an outside of the light system; wherein the blocker prevents light from only extending through the texture shutoff; and wherein the first light function and the second light function provide the light to a location around a vehicle that comprises the light system.

    • Provided is a vehicle lighting fixture capable of suppressing the luminous intensity at a portion (e.g., a portion around 4 degrees below the horizontal line) of a low-beam light distribution pattern from becoming relatively high, and also capable of forming a low-beam light distribution pattern with a uniform vertical thickness with respect to the horizontal direction. The vehicle lighting fixture includes a projection lens, a separator disposed behind the projection lens, and a low-beam light source that is disposed behind the separator and emits light for forming a low-beam light distribution pattern by being irradiated forward through the separator and the projection lens in this order. This vehicle lighting fixture is characterized in that: the separator includes an upper separator body that has a front surface and a rear surface on the opposite side thereof, and a first light guide portion that extends from a lower portion of the upper separator body toward the low-beam light source and has a first light incident surface located at a tip end thereof and faces the low-beam light source; that the projection lens has a front surface and a rear surface on the opposite side thereof, and the rear surface of the projection lens has an upper light incident surface facing the front surface of the upper separate body; that the low-beam light source, the first light guide portion, the upper separator body, and the upper light incident surface are each disposed above a reference axis passing through the focal point of the projection lens and extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction; that the lower portion of the front surface of the upper separator body is in surface contact with the lower portion of the upper light incident surface of the rear surface of the projection lens; and that a space is formed between a portion above the lower portion of the front surface of the upper separator body and a portion above the lower portion of the upper light incident surface of the rear surface of the projection lens.

    • The invention relates to a light module for a motor vehicle headlamp, comprising at least one optoelectronic component (300), which is arranged in the main emission direction of a first illuminant (110) and which comprises a controllable arrangement of a plurality of micromirrors (310), which can be pivoted into a first and a second position. Micromirrors (310) that are in the first position deflect light beams toward at least one projection optical unit (400), which is designed to produce a light distribution. Micromirrors (310) that are in the second position deflect light beams toward a light-beam-absorbing absorber (500). The light module also comprises at least a control device (200), a sensor element (600) and a second illuminant (120). The control device (200) is designed to control the sensor element (600) and the second illuminant (120). Micromirrors (310) that are in the first position deflect the light beams that can be emitted by the second illuminant (120) toward the sensor element (600). The sensor element (600) is designed to sense light beams from the second illuminant (120) in order to obtain a value, and to transmit said value to the control device (200), which compares the value with a threshold value stored in a memory. Switching on of the first illuminant (110) is prevented when the threshold value is reached, or the first illuminant (110) is switched on when the threshold value is fallen below.
