摘要： An illumination device for vessels that have access ports terminated with pipe flanges. The illumination device includes a retention collar that is adapted to receive a flashlight at its first end. The opposite second end of the retention collar terminates with a flange. A conduit extends through the retention collar from the first end to the second end. A mounting element is provided for attaching the retention collar and the flashlight to the access port of the vessel. The mounting element includes an annular base plate. A coupling mechanism is attached to the annular base plate. The coupling mechanism selectively receives the flange of the retention collar in an orientation wherein the center of the retention collar aligns with center of the mounting bracket. The annular base plate of the mounting bracket clamps to the pipe flange of the vessel over an inspection window. This provides an unobstructed passage through which light from the flashlight can enter the access port of the vessel.

摘要： An emergency warning lamp comprising a base, a mounting plate mounted on the base, and an electric motor mounted on the plate having an output shaft extending upwardly through the plate. A bushing is disposed centrally of the base on the plate, and a plastic gear is rotatably mounted on the bushing. A pinion meshes with the gear and is fixed to the shaft of the motor. A lamp bulb is mounted on the bushing. A heat shield overlies the gears and is supported by one of the gears for rotation. A reflector is mounted on the heat shield for rotation therewith. Electrical leads extend from a source of power, one of the leads comprising a ground lead and the others comprising power leads. One of the power leads extends through the bushing to the lamp. The other of the power leads extends to the winding of the motor. The housing of the motor is grounded to the metal plate and the ground lead is connected to the metal plate. The current flows through the bulb to the bushing and in turn to the mounting plate.

摘要： A signaling searchlight having a lightweight internal shutter comprising a sliding cylinder which is mounted between a lamp and a reflector. Light of selected wavelengths is filtered from the beam emitted by the lamp to obtain a beam for transmitting coded information. The sliding cylinder is moved to transmit or to block off the light beam from reaching the reflector. Retraction of the cylinder to the off position blocks off the beam from the reflector and is also correlated with the means for reducing the power of the lamp. The sliding cylinder moved to the on position allows the beam to reach the reflector and is also correlated with means for applying full power to the lamp.

The light sources are each a single bulb for emitting ultraviolet light. The light sources are positioned between reflectors and the instrument cluster display such that the reflectors are positioned for redirecting black light initially emitted towards the reflector onto the instrument cluster display. The graphic features are preferably made of a phosphoric material.

The housing has at least three spaced apart bosses which extend inwardly and located adjacent to a front rim. The retaining ring adapter has an inner ring and an outer ring which is slightly larger than the inner ring. The inner ring has at least three spaced apart locking slots which are aligned with and rotatably engaged with the three bosses of the housing. The outer ring abuts against the front rim outside of the housing, where screws are provided to pull the inner ring against the outer rim so that the locking slots are further engaged with the bosses to further secure the inner ring thereto. The socket holding plate is installed on top of the outer ring of the retaining ring adapter for retaining a socket wherein a light bulb is installed thereto. The lens is placed over the light bulb and secured to the socket holding plate by the attachment cover.
