With the joint portion being fixed by fitting between the joint fixation member and the sleeve, the sleeve is pressed downward to release the fitting between the joint fixation member and the sleeve, so that the joint portion is released.

After the picture or video is taken, the rubber coated wire is unbent, the respective device removed, and the telescoping legs are collapsed down. This returns the tripod to its portable state, allowing it to be carried in a backpack or small bag.
