摘要： A method for protecting underground pipes by applying three layers of different materials to an outer surface of a pipe is accomplished by wrapping three layers of different materials on the pipe outer surface. The three layers are: The first layer: which surrounds the pipe, is the insulating tape known as cold wrap tape. The second layer: which follows the first layer, made from non-woven synthetic wool, and called the protector. The third layer: the fixing tape made of synthetic fabric that contains fine hooks that can grip tight the second layer—the protector—and prevent it from delamination and falling. Second and third layers act together as Velcro to securely fix and protect the first layer (cold roll tape) from the mechanical damage of soil and tamping over the pipe and UV during the of installation period and before backfilling.

摘要： Systems and methods are provided for insulating and heating a subsea pipeline. A system may comprise a subsea pipeline including a lower portion embedded in a seafloor and an upper portion above the seafloor. The system may include an insulating layer. The insulating layer may include a middle portion covering the upper portion of the subsea pipeline. The insulating layer may further include an end portion covering the seafloor. The insulating layer may form a cavity adjacent to the seafloor, the subsea pipeline, and the insulating layer. The system may further include a plurality of heater cables within the cavity. The plurality of heater cables may be configured to heat a fluid within the subsea pipeline. The plurality of heater cables may be separated from the subsea pipeline only by seawater or by soil of the seafloor within the cavity.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a coated conduit comprising: a) a conduit having an interior and exterior surface; and b) a cured coating formed from a reaction mixture that is applied to at least one surface of the conduit. The reaction mixture comprises: i) a filler material comprising fibers ranging in length from 0.1 to 15.54 cm and having an aspect ratio of at least 5; and ii) a reactive component that demonstrates a tack-free time of less than five minutes at a temperature of 20 to 25° C. The present invention is also directed to a method of repairing or reinforcing a conduit, comprising: (a) applying a curable coating composition to at least one surface of the conduit, wherein the curable coating composition is formed from the reaction mixture described above; and (b) allowing the curable coating composition to at least partially cure by exposing the composition to ambient conditions.

The pipe assembly comprises a heat transfer device arranged to transfer heat from an outer surface of the first insulating layer to the second pipe, and a second insulating layer arranged to reduce heat transfer from the heat transfer device and the second pipe outwards in the radial direction, the thermal conductivity of the heat transfer device being substantially better than the thermal conductivity of the first insulating layer and the thermal conductivity of the second insulating layer.
