摘要： A door assembly for a pressure vessel includes a door, a hub to attach to the pressure vessel and to receive the door, and an annular seal to seal between the door and the hub. A hinge arm is coupled to the hub and to the door and is able to pivot relative to the hub about a hinge axis. A door actuator having an elongate member extending along an actuator axis is spaced-apart from the hinge axis and coupled to the hub and to the hinge arm. The elongate member travels with the hinge arm when the arm pivots relative to the hub, and rotates about the actuator axis. The door actuator is configured to cause the seal to engage sealingly the hub and the door.

The flanges are complementary, and elements are used to displace the door (6). Elements are used to hold the two doors against each other, and the housings communicate between each other via a communication space (13). There is an inner annular critical line on the door (6) and an outer annular critical line of risk of contamination on the flange (9). The device includes elements (25 and/or 26) that are structurally integrated into the door (6) and/or the flange (9) and can form a separation between the communication space and the inner annular critical line and/or the outer annular critical line, when the doors are open.

It includes a peripheral seal to seal against coaming. The shell member has at least one air passage extending through it. A wall is integrally formed on the shell member and defines a plenum in communication with the air passage. The wall extends outward beyond the peripheral seal and there defines an air intake opening for admitting air to the plenum. An air filter is housed in the plenum.

摘要： A safety locking cover assembly for the dome of a tank truck of the type adapted to carry inflammable liquids. A cover is hinged upon a base attachable to the tank dome, and is moved between opened and closed positions by upward pivotal movement of a semicircular handle. The opposite ends of the handle pivot upon a locking bar extending beneath the cover top. The ends of the bar project from opposite sides of the cover and extend into recesses in catches mounted to the base, thereby normally preventing upward movement of the cover relative to the catches. However, the catches are spring biased against the base and are upwardly movable against the spring bias by high internal tank pressures. This provides a relatively large vent opening to vent the tank despite the fact that the handle may be closed. The cover can be manually opened by pivoting the handle through a 180.degree. arc. This moves the locking bar downwardly relative to the catches on the base. This allows limited upward vertical movement of the locking bar and cover relative to the catches and any slight buildup of internal tank pressure is relieved before the cover is hinged upwardly to its open position. Movement of the pivoted handle circumferentially in the plane of the cover positions the locking bar out of alignment with the restraining catches and the cover can be hingedly moved to an open position. Alternative rapid mounting and demounting means for the tank dome are also disclosed.
