摘要： An electronic control system dynamically varies the output capacity of a compressor by controlling plural valves associated with the compressor to provide pressurized air to a distribution system at an appropriate rate. The control system operates in any of three modes for standalone operation, including continuous run, auto/dual pressure band, and target pressure modes. In the first two modes, pressure bands are dynamically calculated based on load and unload values entered by an operator. These electronic control systems can also be connected in a peer-to-peer network to coordinate control of up to 16 compressors feeding the same distribution system, so as to maintain a desired target pressure in the system. A modem connected to the system supports remote diagnostics, monitoring, and control. Specialized startup, operating, and shutdown diagnostic algorithms prevent damage to the compressor and avert unsafe operating conditions.

摘要： A high pressure pump and delivery system mating to LNG storage and suited for natural gas powered trucks and buses, but also suitable for other cryogenic liquid fuels. The reciprocating pump is comprised of a liquid pumping portion and a vapor compressing portion, operating in concert so that it is possible to locate the pump above a source of saturated LNG and to reliably supply high pressure LNG. The delivery system provides a method of utilizing both the pumped LNG and the compressed NG in a Diesel type fuel injection system, and also to scavenge NG vapor from the LNG storage container so as to extend it's storage life. While especially useful for trucks and buses, the present invention is not limited thereto, as it is also useful for locomotives, automobiles and other vehicles designed to operate through combustion of natural gas, as well as stationary applications.

摘要： A scroll compressor includes a capacity modulation system. The capacity modulation system has a piston that is connected to the non-orbiting scroll that disengages the non-orbiting scroll from the orbiting scroll when a pressure chamber is placed in communication with the suction chamber of the compressor. The non-orbiting scroll member moves into engagement with the orbiting scroll when the chamber is placed in communication with the discharge chamber. The engagement between the two scrolls is broken when the pressure chamber is placed in communication with fluid from the suction chamber. A solenoid valve controls the communication between the pressure chamber and the suction chamber. By operating the valve in a pulsed width modulated mode, the capacity of the compressor can be infinitely varied between zero and one hundred percent.
