    • A turbo-machine includes a housing (1); a rotor (3) of a centripetally flow-through expansion turbine stage (4) overhung on the one end of the rotor shaft; a rotor of a radially flow-through compressor stage (6) overhung on the other end of the rotor shaft; a measuring system (7) for directly detecting an axial thrust of the rotor shaft (2) supported in roller bearings (8); and at least two pressure control valves (10, 11), which are installed in control lines (12, 13) and controlled by a controller (9). Via the control lines (12, 13), a rotor piston surface (14), which is sealed against the housing (1) and located on the rear side of one of the rotors, for example the compressor rotor (5), can be acted upon by the pressure (p1) prevailing on the inlet into the compressor stage, and the pressure (p2) on the outlet of the compressor stage (6). The controller (9) actuates either the pressure control valve (10) in the control line (12) acted upon by the compressor inlet pressure (p1) or the pressure control valve (11) in the control line (13) under the compressor outlet pressure (p2) according to the measured axial thrust, in order to eliminate an axial thrust outside of a preselected nominal value range by raising or reducing the pressure on the rotor control surface (14).

    • A metering device contains a rotor which defines elongate chamber, there being a shuttle contained within the chamber movable between two terminal end positions. Frusto-conical surfaces defined on the rotor cooperate with annular members defining corresponding seats. One passage extends from one end of the chamber to one frusto-conical surface, and another passage extends from the other end of the chamber to the other frusto-conical surface. Each annual element defines a respective inlet and outlet for fluid and a shuttle is present within the chamber. As the rotor rotates, the shuttle effects a shuttling movement thus measuring dispensed volumes of fluid. A sensor is provided to detect physical contact of the shuttle with the end of the chamber to cause the rotor to advance.

    • A pneumatically operated oil pump comprises an outer tube for extending into an oil tank and a sucking tube moveably arranged within the outer tube. The sucking tube includes one-way valve establishing an airtight arrangement with respect to an inner wall of the outer tube. An air operated device is arranged on top of the outer tube and interconnected to the sucking tube located within the outer tube. The device includes an upper operating chamber and a lower operating chamber intercommunicated with an air pipe. The device further includes a movement reciprocally moved within the device when compressed air is introduced into the device so as to move the sucking tube reciprocally.
