摘要： The present invention is a protection device for use with elevator doorjamb panels and entryway doors and jambs to protect the surfaces of these panels and doors from sustaining damage from collisions with moving equipment, building materials and furniture. The device protects the surfaces from scratches and dents when furniture and construction materials inadvertently bang into these protected surfaces. The entryway protector includes two sections and a securing system. A main rectangular section may be separated by a line of stitching from a minor rectangular section. The main rectangular section comprises a cushioning material and a rigid sheet. Both sections can be placed in a protective material. The securing system can secure the protector to the surfaces against dislodging by contact with equipment, building materials and furniture.

摘要： A storage structure or hangar designed primarily for housing a sailplane or other small aircraft has a substantially T-shaped pre-fabricated upper frame support anchored to the ground at several locations, a first set of frame members mounted immovably to the upper frame support in areas where the fuselage and tail and the two wings are located when the sailplane or small aircraft is in the storage structure, and a second set of frame members hingedly mounted in part to the upper frame support and partly to first set of frame members. The second set of frame members are located substantially where the front or cockpit of the plane is located and in front of the wings. Panels covering the first and second frame members and enclosing the structure are mounted to the first and second frame members. A cable, chain or like mechanism operated by a winch raises the second set of hinged frame members together with the cover panels mounted thereon to allow the sailplane to be placed into the storage structure. The winch also lowers the second set of frame members to close the structure and enclose the plane therein. The winch is powered by a battery that is charged by a solar panel associated with the structure.

In one embodiment, a hinge assembly for hingedly connecting a door to a structural member of a shed comprises at least one hinge post disposed along a generally vertical edge of the door, and at least one hinge support provided along a generally vertical edge of the structural member. The hinge support includes a hinge support cutout portion configured to slidably support a first portion of the hinge post of the door to permit rotation of the hinge post relative to the hinge support cutout portion around an axis of the hinge post. The hinge support includes an extension which is disposed adjacent the hinge support cutout portion and extends outward from the generally vertical edge of the structural member. At least one hinge connection member has a hinge connection cutout portion configured to slidably support a second portion of the hinge post of the door which is disposed generally opposite from the first portion of the hinge post of the door to permit rotation of the hinge post relative to the hinge connection cutout portion around the axis of the hinge post. The hinge connection member is detachably coupled with the extension of the hinge support, and is configured to be attached to the structural member.

摘要： Public storage lockers are designed particularly for storage of bicycles, such as at a public transportation terminal. In a preferred embodiment the storage lockers are on-demand, lockable by a user who must unlock the locker using the same electronic key and who must unlock the locker before using the key for any other locker. The lockers are visually open, with a secure screen or mesh on the locker door and optionally on walls and top cover. This reveals that the bike locker is occupied and prevents the use of the locker for unauthorized, privacy-requiring activities. The bike enclosure has a floor wheel guide for conveniently loading the bike, and a special door latch mechanism which provides for security by including a latch bar in a fixed frame, while a latch bar lifter, operable to permit door opening when the lock is unlocked, is on the door. The door lock is always locked, in an available locked mode or an unavailable locked mode, except when unlocked for only a few seconds before the lock automatically locks down the latch bar again, so the door is locked as soon as re-closed. LED status indicator lights can be included. Preferably the lock and the electronic keys have logic which prevents use of the key if the user fails to reopen the lock within a prescribed period of time, and other safeguards.
