摘要： The invention relates to a method to produce a linerboard exhibiting a high bending resistance and a high compression strength, which in turn provides high resistance to interflute buckling and sagging in a thereof formed corrugated board. This is achieved by the inventive combination of an optimized fiber refining level of the furnish in each layer of the linerboard, the separate formation of the top layer and the use of a multi-layer headbox to form the two-layered ply. In addition, the linerboard made according to the invention provides good printing properties in a thereof produced corrugated board, especially in flexographic printing, without the fluting structure being negatively affected.

摘要： A coating composition for a corrugated paper board is described. The corrugated paper board includes an inner liner sheet and an outer liner sheet adhered to opposite sides of a corrugated medium. The coating composition includes a pre-coat layer and a topcoat layer. The pre-coat layer includes an ink fixer agent and a pigment, and is disposed on one or both of the liner sheets. The topcoat layer is disposed on top of the pre-coat layer to form an ink receiving layer. The topcoat layer includes a wax and is devoid of the ink fixer agent.

摘要： A method and apparatus for continuously forming a multi-ply corrugated container board from freshly laid web plies by simultaneously forming the separate plies from aqueous slurries of fibers on corresponding foraminous fabrics, and dewatering each of them sufficiently to form a web ply capable of being handled in a papermaking machine as an integral web. All of the webs are formed on a single papermaking machine, but separately. The first web ply is laid on a traveling forming wire, such as a fourdrinier wire, and each subsequent web ply is formed in close proximity to the traveling forming wire and brought into bonding engagement seriatim with the top surface of the previously formed web ply carried on the traveling forming wire.A typical corrugated box board has three plies with the inner ply being corrugated. In this invention, the intermediate web ply is doctored off either its forming roll or a pick-off roll and is allowed to contact the preceding layer in its characteristic fluted or corrugated configuration. A spray of adhesive material is introduced onto the first ply before the corrugated ply is brought into contact and another adhesive spray is introduced onto the top surface of the corrugating medium to bond it to the top ply.Each layer of the multi-ply corrugated board is thus formed and built into the composite product in the forming section of a single papermaking machine. The completely formed corrugated combined board is then introduced into a suitable drying environment to finish the product.
