摘要： A method for manufacturing knitted items, particularly for manufacturing items of underwear, with a passage for the insertion of support wires or other insertion elements, in circular knitting machines, and an item obtained with the method. The method consists in forming the passage for the insertion of the wire or other insertion element in an intermediate production step during the knitting of the item, by knitting additional row portions with a preset number of needles alternated with needles excluded from knitting during the formation of the additional rows. In this manner, on one side of the item, a tunnel is obtained which is part of the item and inside which it is possible to insert a support wire or other insertion elements.

摘要： A needle dial for single-cylinder circular hosiery knitting machines for producing ribbed knitting includes a disc having a plurality of radially extending angularly equidistantly spaced dividing walls. Each adjacent pair of dividing walls sets-off therebetween a radially extending groove, and each groove is defined by a bottom wall of the disc and one wall each of adjacent pairs of the dividing walls. The one walls have upper wall portions in generally spaced parallel relationship to each other and to a longitudinal axis of the groove defined thereby. A lower radially outermost wall portion of one of each of the one walls defining each groove is circumferentially off-set from a radially innermost wall portion thereof and from its associated longitudinal axis thereby being adapted to receive therein a distal arch of an associated composite needle. An annular downwardly opening cavity in each dividing wall immediately of radially opposite ends thereof is adapted to be closed by a lower element secured to the disc through associated abutment step portions of the lower element and the disc.

摘要： A device for selecting the needles on the dial plate of single cylinder circular knitting machines for the manufacture of ribbed fabric, said device comprising a coaxial sleeve secured on top of the dial plate and revolving with the dial plate and, as many swinging elements or jacks as there are needles on the dial. Each jack slides in a vertical groove which is defined in the sleeve and which coincides with a needle groove in the dial. Slides are selected to vertically displace the jacks from an operating position into a rest position. A pinned drum controls selectors and cams to control the swinging motions of the jacks when they are in operating position in order to control the radial displacements of the corresponding needles by means of the thus operated jacks.
