The needle bed and the transferring jack bed are relatively movable.

摘要： A loop transfer device including a carriage supported by transverse sliding movement on first and second needle beds on each of which are disposed a multiplicity of latch needles is disclosed. A first path is formed on the carriage for guiding the butts of the loop transferring latch needles on the first needle bed therein and moving such latch needles in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the first needle bed. A second path is formed on the carriage for guiding the butts of the loop receiving latch needles on the second needle bed therein and moving such latch needles in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the second needle bed. Needle detent means is provided on the carriage for regulating the position of the forward portions of the latch needles in the second path and those of the latch needles in the first path relative to the longitudinal directions of the first and second needle beds when the hooks of the latch needles in the second path are engaged with the loops of yarn carried by the latch needles in the first path, whereby the hooks of loop receiving latch needles may be engaged accurately with the loops of yarn carried by the loop transfer latch needles so as to effect reliable loop transfer from the loop transfer latch needles to the loop receiving latch needles.

摘要： A method for knitting a three-dimensional fabric with variable thickness through a flat knitting machine includes the following steps: moving two cam groups and driving a plurality of knitting needles to knit a first piece of knitting by a starting cam system; moving the two cam groups and driving the plurality of knitting needles to knit a second piece of knitting by a middle cam system; and moving the two cam groups and driving the plurality of knitting needles to knit a supporting yarn by two tail cam systems respectively. The tail cam systems control each of a plurality of knock-over bit cams to move according to a gap size corresponding to a knitting length of the supporting yarn, so as to promptly change a thickness of the three-dimensional fabric along the length change of the supporting yarn.

摘要： A flat knitting machine having a transferring mechanism using transfer jacks wherein the transfer jacks each have (i) at a front end thereof a loop engaging portion; (ii) at a rear end thereof a selected engaging projection extending rearwardly from a rear end of the jack groove when the transfer jack is in its retracted position; and (iii) at an upper edge of a jack body thereof an advance-and-retreat controlling butt which extends from an upper surface of the jack groove and is engageable with the transfer jack operating cam to control the transfer jack to move forward and backward; andwherein the carriages each include (i) a cam which driven by an actuator so that it can be selectively engaged with the selected engaging projection of the transfer jack to guide the transfer jack in its retracted position from the engaged position to its pushed-out position and which is arranged in association with the selected engaging projection of the transfer jack; (ii) a raising cam which is engageable with the butt projecting from the upper surface of the transfer jack as guided to the pushed-out position, to push up the transfer jack to its transferring position; and (iii) a lowering cam which can act on the butt of the transfer jack as advanced to its transferring position, to drive the transfer jack to retract to its retracted position.

摘要： A rectilinear knitting machine for preselection of the needles with stitch transfer including needlebeds arranged in pairs and provided with grooves. Needles, flexible clavettes and clavette pressers are disposed in the grooves with the clavette pressers engaging the flexible clavettes. A lock means is provided and has lock cams for acting on a butt portion of the flexible clavettes and for acting on a butt portion of the needles. A plurality of vertical cams is provided which have at least one vertical cam for engaging the clavette presser and driving the butt portion of the flexible clavette into the groove of the needlebed. Thus, the clavette presser acts to move the flexible clavettes not selected for knitting out of position in a preselected manner depending on selected actuation of the clavette presser.

A plurality of selector jacks are longitudinally slidable on a jack guide and each has associated with it a switch jack. A ball blocking device permits any one, but only one of the selector jacks to be moved longitudinally at any given time. When a selector jack is moved, it carries with it its switch jack which switch jack remains in the moved position even though its selector jack then moves back to its original position. A locking pawl is provided for holding the switch jacks in the original or the moved positions thereof.
