摘要： A method of weaving tubular textile articles, comprising: forming first, second, third and fourth superposed layers of warp threads; weaving by weft insertion through sheds formed in said layers, the weaving being performed by first and second weft threads inserted by first and second needles from one side of said warp layers; each weft thread being inserted alternately through a selected pair of said warp layers; and the weft loops at the other side of said layers being knitted together, the first layer with the second layer and the third layer with the fourth layer, to form a pair of selvedges. 摘要： A slide fastener comprises two continuous plastic filaments, each with a multiplicity of helicoidal coupling elements for interlocking with the elements of the opposite filament, each filament being woven integral with the threads of its respective support tape to form a single tape-like unit. Each coupling element has a coupling head on a loop end and a long shank and a short shank extending from opposite sides of the loop end. The long shank terminates in a first bight portion connecting it with a long shank of one adjacent coupling element, while the short shank terminates in a second bight portion connecting it with a short shank of another adjacent coupling element. The coupling elements are arranged in rows of mirror-image pairs, each including two long shanks and two short shanks. Warp threads are interwoven with the coupling elements, with even stronger bracing possible with bulbous projections on the long shanks, short shanks, first bight portions or second bight portions using textile weft threads.

摘要： In order to improve the design of a ribbon needle loom for applications in which the woven material (9) shall have a variable width, it is proposed to arrange the weft needle (10, 16) and also the knitting needle (10b, 16b) serving to knit the weft thread (14, 15) at the side directed away from the weft insertion onto a common, displaceable carrier (10c, 16c). As a further improvement, in order to be able to produce symmetrical woven material (9) with such a ribbon needle loom, a bilateral weft-insertion is proposed, wherein the two weft needles (10, 16) and the two knitting needles (10b, 16b) by means of which the respective weft thread (14, 15) is knitted at the side directed away from the weft insertion are each disposed on a common, displaceable carrier (10c, 16c). Advantageously, the carriers (10c, 16c) do not hinder each other upon displacement, but rather are arranged on top of each other.

摘要： A method of manufacturing slotted webbing of the type having slotted portions selectively formed between solid portions includes the steps of providing a needle loom machine, selectively positioning warp yarns with the needle loom machine between a first position in which there is a single shed opening provided through the yarns and a second position in which there are two shed openings provided through the yarns, and inserting weft yarns with the needle loom machine to weave the warp yarns with the weft yarns. The arrangement is such that when the warp yarns are in their first position, the solid portion of the webbing is fabricated and when the warp arms are in their second position, the slotted portion of the webbing is fabricated. A modified heddle of the present invention associated with the second position is further disclosed.

摘要： A woven slide fastener stringer has a stringer tape including a weft thread woven in double picks with warp threads and having loops disposed along a longitudinal edge of the tape, a core thread extending through the weft loops, and a filamentary coupling element having turns each including a pair of limbs between which the core thread is disposed and connecting portions extending between adjacent two limbs. Each of the double picks has a portion extending around one of the connecting portions and between the one connecting portion and the core thread, and blending into adjacent two weft loops, thereby fastening the coupling element securely in position. Such a stringer is manufactured using a pair of monofilament and weft carriers insertable into and withdrawable out of warp sheds, a mandrel vertically shiftable into various shed positions, and in some embodiments means operatively coupled with the carriers for vertically displacing the threads and monofilament.
