摘要： A tissue modification apparatus includes at least a first plurality of grippers aligned in a plane adapted to secure a first edge of a patch of tissue. The plurality of grippers are each secured to a first force actuator. The first plurality of grippers are each adapted to pivot relative to the first force actuator about an axis perpendicular to the plane. In some cases, a plurality of grippers are attached to a force actuator by a passive force transfer mechanism. In some cases, individual force actuators are attached by pivoted connections to individual grippers. Methods of treating tissue can secure tensioned tissue to a frame to retain the tension during a treatment (e.g., cross-linking the tissue with a chemical cross-linker).

摘要： A machine for clamping and drying hides comprising a drying oven and guide rails for the frames carrying and stretching out the skins. The guide rails comprise an external section located above the drying oven and other sections located inside the oven. There are provided kinematic assemblies arranged to transfer the frames from one to the other of said sections. Means are also provided for varying the size of the frames so as to stretch and relax the skins supported thereon. The skins are fixed on the frames by means of automatically actuated grips.

The pelt system comprises: a stretch board having a generally rectangular form and a planar surface through which a plurality of evenly spaced perforations are made to accept nails or the like. Several sized patterns are provided in order to best fit a pelt to the largest pelt size according to industry specifications with minimal amounts of waste fur. A user thereby estimates the end-size of a newly caught fur and proceeds to stretch said fur into the closest to perfect form desired by industry thereby increasing user's chances of a more valuable pelt.

摘要： A clamp for releasably gripping a workpiece includes a base member, a first jaw portion attached to the base member and having a first gripping portion and a second jaw member pivotally coupled to the base member at a pivot location, and having a second gripping portion. The second jaw is pivotable about the pivot location between an open, retracted position where the first and second gripping portions are spaced apart and a closed, gripping portion where the first and second gripping portions engage the workpiece and apply a gripping force to hold the workpiece. An actuator selectively retracts the second jaw member from the gripping position into the retracted position by application of a retracting force. A mechanism which may include a cam or an over-center linkage releasably holds the second jaw member in the retracted position independently of the retracting force.
