摘要： A process to prepare a solid cement composition; includes adding a meltable compound to an aqueous slurry of cement and; mixing until a homogeneous dispersion is obtained. The dispersion is placed in a mould, where the dispersion is set by hydration. Part of the meltable compound is melted at a temperature range of which the maximum is above the melting point of the meltable compound and a minimum below the melting point of the meltable compound. A material, either still as a dispersion or an already setting cement is exposed to heat development or a temperature gradient such that the temperature is at least above the congealing point of the meltable compound to obtain a solid cement composition.

摘要： The present invention provides a method of preventing gas migration during primary well cementing. The method basically comprises the steps of displacing a cement slurry into the annulus between a string of pipe to be cemented in a well bore and the walls of the well bore, determining the initial surface pressure in the pipe after the cement slurry is placed in the annulus, displacing additional cement slurry into the annulus as is necessary to make up for losses in the surface pressure due to cement slurry gel strength development and volume reduction whereby the surface pressure is maintained substantially equal to the initial surface pressure until the cement slurry develops a predetermined gel strength sufficient by itself to prevent gas migration, and then allowing the cement slurry to set into a hard impermeable mass in the annulus.

摘要： A method of using a gas control additive to provide gas migration control in a wellbore includes the steps of mixing the gas control additive with a cement to form a cement slurry, where the gas control additive includes a semi-permeable membrane and a scrubbing agent, such that the semi-permeable membrane forms a shell around a core such that the scrubbing agent is in the core, introducing the cement slurry to the wellbore, and reacting the scrubbing agent with an antagonistic gas to produce a helper byproduct, where the antagonistic gas migrates from a hydrocarbon-bearing formation into the wellbore and permeates through the semi-permeable membrane to the core of the gas control additive.
