摘要： Anticorrosive white pigments useful for inhibiting corrosion include surface-coated TiO2 base bodies, preferably in the rutile modification, having Mn3(PO4)2 and one or more of the substances chosen from aluminum oxides, aluminum hydroxides, aluminum phosphates, aluminum hydrogen phosphates, aluminum dihydrogen phosphates and aluminum polyphosphates are precipitated on to the TiO2 base bodies. Mn3(PO4)2 may be replaced completely or partially by Zn3(PO4)2. Phosphates and/or oxides of cerium may be additionally deposited singly, or several of them may be deposited, on to the TiO2 base bodies.

摘要： The present invention provides a process for generating titanium dioxide pigments that have reduced moisture retention. By leaching oxidizer discharge and removing alumina containing compounds, one is able to generate a low volatile pigmentary bases. These low volatile pigmentary bases may be processed into finished low volatile pigments that may be combined with polymers to form polymer matrices. These pigments may be incorporated into polymer matrices at high temperatures without significant lacing.

摘要： The present invention provides a process for producing ultrafine particulate complex oxide containing titanium oxide, including vapor-phase producing a complex oxide containing titanium oxide having a BET specific surface area of about 5 to about 200 m2/g, where a starting material gas containing titanium tetrachloride and an oxidizing gas are preheated to about 700° C. or more, and are reacted with a solution or a slurry of a salt containing a metallic element. The present invention also provides an ultrafine particulate complex oxide containing titanium oxide obtained by the process, and use of the oxide.

摘要： The present invention provides a coated titanium dioxide pigment which includes a base titanium dioxide pigment; a first deposit of a phosphate compound contiguous with the base titanium dioxide pigment; a deposit of a silica or zirconia compound contiguous with the phosphate deposit; a second deposit of a phosphate compound contiguous with the silica or zirconia compound; and a deposit of an alumina compound contiguous with the second phosphate deposit. Titanium dioxide pigments of the present invention are easily dispersible, and display excellent durability and gloss. The present invention also provides processes for preparing coated titanium dioxide pigments which include the steps of: preparing an aqueous slurry of base titanium dioxide pigment, adding a first phosphate compound to the slurry to form a first phosphate coating, adding a silica or zirconia compound to the slurry to form a silica compound coating, adding a second phosphate compound to the slurry, and adding an alumina compound coating to the slurry to form an alumina compound coating, thereby forming the coated titanium dioxide pigment.

The damp powder is then pressure extruded through at least one die to form granules. 摘要： A process for preparing an improved pigment which is readily dispersible in paints and plastics concentrates is provided. In accordance with the process, a particulate pigment is mixed with water to form a slurry thereof, and a surface active agent is mixed with the slurry so that the pigment therein is coated therewith. A preferred surface active agent is a mixture of ethoxylated sorbitan derivatives, non-ethoxylated mono and diglycerides and ethoxylated mono and diglycerides. After the pigment has been coated with the surface active agent, the coated pigment is dried.
