摘要： This invention relates to novel resins, blends of the novel resins with base polymers and a process for producing a resin comprising combining a reactor feed blend comprising: (a) at least 2 weight % of isoprene, (b) at least 2 weight % of one or more of dicyclopentadiene, substituted cyclopentadienes and substituted dicyclopentadienes, (c) at least 2 weight % piperylene, (d) at least 1 weight % aromatic olefins, and (e) 0 to 92 weight % of additional aliphatic olefins, based upon the weight of the reactor feed blend, with a polymerization catalyst under polymerization conditions, preferably where the ratio of component (c) to component (b) is less than 8 and the ratio of component (a) to component (b) is less than 5.

摘要： A composition for a pencil casing comprising 45-55% by weight polystyrene polymer or copolymer, 35-45% by weight wood fiber, 0-6% by weight lubricant, and 4-6% by weight compatibilizing agent. A preferred compatibilizing agent is polystyrene maleic anhydride. The preferred polystyrene is acrylonitrile butadiene styrene. The preferred lubricants are selected from aluminum stearate, calcium stearate, and zinc stearate, with zinc stearate the most preferred. The invention may optionally include 0-5% by weight polyethylene terephthalate and 0-5% by weight polyethylene. Also included are a pencil casing made from the composition and a pencil made from the composition.

摘要： There are disclosed a resin composition which is excellent in rubber elasticity, oil maintainability and adhesivity to a metal, and comprises a thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a (a1) hydrogenated block copolymer which is obtained by hydrogenating a block copolymer consisting essentially of a polymer block composed principally of a vinyl aromatic compound and a polymer block composed principally of a conjugated diene compound, which has a weight average molecular weight of at least 200,000, in which the polymer block composed principally of a vinyl aromatic compound is polystyrene, and in which the content by weight of the polystyrene moiety contained in the hydrogenated block copolymer is 20 to 40% ; a (b1) non-aromatic rubber-softening agent having a kinematic viscosity at 40null C. of at least 300 mm2s-1; and a (c1) modified polyolefinic resin, the resin composition having a hardness according to JIS K6253 of at most 50 degrees and a compression set according to JIS K6262 of at most 50% ; a composite molded body of a metal and the thermo-plastic elastomer composition such as a gasket integrated with a metallic sheet; and processes for producing the above products.

A rubber-modified styrene type polymer comprising from 1 to 15 parts by weight of a dispersed phase made of a rubber-like elastic material and from 99 to 85 parts by weight of a continuous phase made of a polymer comprising from 35 to 75 wt % of styrene type monomer units and from 65 to 25 wt % of (meth)acrylate type monomer units, wherein the rubber-like elastic material is a styrene (30 to 50 wt %)-butadiene (70 to 50 wt %) block copolymer, the weight average molecular weight (Mw) of the polystyrene portions of this block copolymer is from 45,000 to 75,000, and the ratio (Mw/Mn) of Mw to the number-average molecular weight (Mn) is from 1.20 to 1.80.
