    • A web of pre-opened plastic bags is supplied as a continuously attached length on a storage form, each bag being separated from adjacent bags along a supply length by a perforated tear line. A seal which runs codirectionally with the tear line forms a closed bottom for each bag. The supply length of bags is advantageously stored on the storage form to permit advancement of consecutive bags when pulled out of the stored condition by a user. The perforation tear line cuts entirely through the continuous web supply of bags, however, the perforation along one side the bag is broken, such that the bag presents an open flap through which contents can be added to each bag prior to its removal from the remainder of the continuous bag supply. The storage form provides tension against the dispensing of bags.

    • Various embodiments of an apparatus and method for dispensing elongated material, such as tape, from a spool or roll of such material are disclosed. In one embodiment, a dispenser includes a rotatable spindle for supporting the roll of material and a brake assembly operable to provide a braking force to the spindle. The brake assembly desirably includes a rotor coupled to the spindle and a caliper configured to apply a braking force to the rotor, thereby slowing or preventing rotation of the spindle. The spindle can include at least one roll retainer projecting radially outwardly from the spindle. The roll retainer is configured to frictionally engage an inner surface of a core of the roll to prevent movement of the roll relative to the spindle when material is being dispensed from the roll, yet allow an operator to remove the core from the spindle.

    • A suitable tension is applied to a film-like printing body to be processed in a printing step or a parts mounting step. Further, the processed film-like printing body is automatically fed out by a predetermined stroke.     • A multiple coil dispenser supports a pair of coils and for dispensing a flexible material from one of the coils. The dispenser includes a frame and at least one coil support for supporting the coils for rotation. A fixed arm is mounted to the frame and includes a plurality of rollers positioned longitudinally therealong. A movable arm is pivotally mounted to the frame for movement toward and away from the fixed arm. The movable arm has a plurality of rollers positioned longitudinally therealong and is biased away from the fixed arm. A bifurcated chute directs the strapping material from one of the coils to the arms. A brake assembly is operably connected to the movable arm between an engaged position when the movable arm is moved away from the fixed arm and a disengaged position when the movable arm is moved toward the fixed arm. A space between the fixed arm and the movable arm defines an accumulation region that varies in size as the movable arm moves toward and away from the fixed arm.
