    • A supporting means of a trough has a lever assembly with a base lever and a vibration lever respectively rotatably connected together at lower ends thereof by a common connecting shaft. The base lever is rotatably supported through a first shaft by a frame. The vibration lever is rotatably connected through a second shaft with the trough. The vibration lever is swingably held through spring means by the base lever. The direction in which the object on the trough is conveyed is reversed by rotating the lever assembly partly around the first shaft of the base lever so as to change the angle of inclination of the lever assembly with regard to the lengthwise direction of the trough between a first angle “A” at which the object on the trough moves in a certain direction and a second angle “B” at which the object moves in an opposite direction.

    • There is provided a differential motion conveyor comprising a trough and a conveyor drive. The conveyor drive comprises a clutch/brake assembly which is selectively activated for moving the trough at a first speed in a first direction and selectively deactivated when moving the trough at a second speed in an opposite direction. There is further provided a method of conveying material comprising sensing a position of a trough, activating a clutch/brake assembly when the trough is at a first position for moving the trough at a first speed in a first direction, and deactivating a clutch/brake assembly when the trough is at a second position for moving the trough at a second faster speed in a second opposite direction to the first direction.

    • This invention is directed to a dispenser for housing and dispensing on demand a predetermined amount of the semi-fluid contents of a compressible tube container, such as a toothpaste tube. The dispenser for automatically dispensing a semi-fluid material that can be caused to flow slowly from a compressible tube comprises:(a) a structure for holding the tube in a position such that the opening in the tube extends downwardly;(b) an arrangement for slidably closing the end of the opening in the tube;(c) a device for agitating upon manual command the tube and semi-fluid contents such that the contents are induced to flow;(d) the above recited arrangement withdrawing the slidable closure from the opening upon manual command to thereby permit the material to flow gradually out of the tube.

    • An improved table feeder type material handling apparatus includes a support table or tray which is moved through forward and return strokes by a dirve assembly to convey ore or other material disposed on the tray in a forward direction relative to the tray. In accordance with a feature of the present invention, the stroke or distance through which the tray is moved can be varied while maintaining the stroke rate substantially constant. To provide this capability, the drive assembly includes a rotatable input member which is connected with the support tray by a linkage. A connection between the linkage and the input member is offset relative to the axis of rotation of the input member. Therefore, when the input member is rotated about its central axis, one end of the linkage is moved along a circular path. The stroke distance through which the support tray is moved is adjusted by varying the angular relationship between the central axis of the input member and the path of movement of the support tray to thereby move diametrically opposite portions of the circular path relative to the path of movement of the support tray. A screening table or tray receives material from the support tray. The screening tray moves through forward and return strokes with the support tray. In addition, the drive assembly is effective to move the screening tray through up and down strokes to promote the movement of small particles of ore through openings in the screening tray.
