    • An organizer for maintaining items such as mail in a convenient, readily accessible generally stacked condition. The organizer has a receptacle tray with a retainer which is angularly disposed within the tray and longitudinally slidable therein along a track. A foot on the retainer is held in frictional engagement with the track or bottom of the organizer by the contents held between the retainer and an end of the tray. The user may easily disengage the retainer and move it in either direction by manually applying a counter force to the upper edge of the retainer. In the preferred embodiment, the tray is a standard postal tray of light weight material. In an alternate embodiment, an optional return spring may be provided to urge the retainer into engagement with the retained contents of the tray.

    • Bin for collecting biological materials including a container having a bottom floor, side walls and a lid which can be opened, and at least one opening for the passage of air. Side gratings are arranged in an interior of the vessel and at a distance from an adjacent side wall. The gratings are connected to the vessel. A bottom grating is arranged at a distance from the floor of the vessel and pivotally mounted to the side gratings to pivot inward into a space between the side gratings. Intermediate spaces are present between the side gratings and the respective adjacent side wall and connected with the air passage opening(s). An insert for converting a commercial refuse bin into a bin of this type includes two side gratings and fastening or fixing elements for mounting the side gratings fixedly to the side wall of the refuse bin.

    • A container, for storing a variety of objects, comprising a housing having a first end, a second end, and two lids—one lid located at the first end and one lid located at the second end. Dividers are provided within the container to create distinct compartments therein. The compartments may include a transverse divider which creates distinct compartments at the first end and second end, and a longitudinal divider, which creates distinct compartments which each extend between the first end and second end. Both a transverse divider and two or more longitudinal dividers may be employed to create four or more compartments. Each of the lids having one or more lid flaps to provide access to the compartments therein. Snap in pourers may be inserted into the lids immediately beneath one or more of said lid flaps to control the pouring of granular substances.

    • A covered food container or serving platter incorporates a cover stand as part of the structure of the container. The cover may be temporarily stored on the stand while the user obtains access to the container. In one embodiment a portion of the cover is received within a suitably configured retention area formed within the container. Another covered serving container utilizes a central support extending from the platter and a corresponding support that extends from the cover, with an interlocking possible at the maximum extension of each support, thus separating the cover from the platter. A further embodiment utilizes a pair of covers, one receivable upon another to enable a nesting storage with access available to the exposed container storage area. A surface rib and groove formed in corresponding surfaces of the two covers provides stability when in the nested configuration.

    • A pressure-proof tank for a transport container has an envelope formed by two or more parallel part-cylindrical envelope shells 1, the ends of which are closed by bottoms 2 formed of bottom shells 3. The transition region between the bottom and envelope shells 2, 3, is closed by curved gusset elements 5. The pressure resistance in this transition region is improved by planar rib elements 10 extending through the interior of the tank. The rib elements 10 cooperate with a tension wall 4, which divides the tank in the longitudinal direction, to reduce the effect of surges acting in the transport direction, especially when the tank is partially filled.
