The bags comprise a disposable material, such as a polymer (e.g., polyethylene or another polymer material), paper, or another material. The nested bag pack has a variety of uses in a variety of industries, including household and commercial use.

    • In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a compressible stuff sack comprising a first sheet of flexible material having two opposite sides a second sheet of flexible material having two opposite sides. The opposite sides of the first sheet are attached to corresponding opposite sides of the second sheet to form a body portion. Each attachment comprising a first seam adjacent edges of the first and second sheet and a second, spaced apart seem from the first seam. The two seams together create a flat portion that extends outwardly from an outer surface of the sack. The disclosure further provides an end portion attached to the body portion to form a cavity therewith. Also, a plurality of cinch straps are attached to the first and second sheets, each cinch strap having a corresponding opposite cinch strap that, when attached, allow the cinch straps to compress the contents of the sack. The disclosure also provides that the two sheets can be replaced with a single sheet.

    • The invention relates to a bag that includes a shell having a predetermined maximum vertical rise. A channel is connected to the shell. An elongated strap has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is disposed within the channel, and the second portion is exposed from the channel. The strap is moveable with respect to the channel thereby causing the shell to cinch and the bag to assume a vertically constrained size while a carry strap increases in size. Optionally, the carry strap has an adjustable length to meet the needs of users of various height and having differing notions of how to wear the bag on their bodies.

    • Reclosable bags, plastic film for making the bags, and a method and apparatus for making the bags are disclosed. The bag has a reclosable fastener (26) connected to a single wall of the bag, and the film (55) has a reclosable fastener (26) connected to one side thereof which does not require attachment to any other portion of the film (55) when making a bag. The fastener (26) has a tamper-proof member attached thereto to indicate if the bag has been previously opened. The film (55) can be wound into a roll (54) suitable for use on conventional bag making machines including form, fill, and seal machines or a chain of coilable reclosable bags can be produced therefrom since the fasteners (26) are connected to the web preferably transversely to the bags longitudinal formation axis. The method and apparatus for making the film (55) includes supplying a continuous web of bag making material, feeding from a coil of continuous fastener material enough fastener material to make a single fastener, (26) positioning, cutting, and attaching the fastener (26) to the film (55), with a plurality of fasteners (26) attached thereon.

    • Tapered bags are dispensed singly from a nested configuration. They may be made of plastic, paper, aluminum foil, or aluminum foil laminated with plastic. The bags are connected at the top by a strip that has a row of perforations between the strip and the top of each bag, the strips in turn attached to each other by conventional fasteners such as staples. The taper may be formed by folding the bags so that a dispensed bag may be unfolded to have a bottom as wide as the top. A row of closely spaced perforations along the connecting portion between any two bags allows a single outermost bag to be separated by pulling and tearing along the row of perforations.

    • The invention relates to tubular bag-type packings and, in particular, it relates to so-called three-sided pouches formed from a sealable foil and comprising two longitudinally extending tubular chambers. The chambers extend parallel to each other and have opposite ends. A longitudinally sealing seam separats the chambers, and the sealing seam is bendable. Transversely extending sealing seams close the opposite ends of the tubular chambers. In order to enable such packings to be easily opened, one of the transversely extending seams has a widened portion straddling the longitudinally extending sealing seam and extends to both tubular chambers. A device, i.e. a tearing aid for facilitating the tearing open of the two tubular chambers is arranged in the widened portion.

    • Portable bags for holding items, the bags having at least one dart that permits a person to selectively alternate the dart between a collapsed state and an expanded state.
