The decorative transfers include an uppermost intermediate layer that includes a tacky resin. The decorative transfers also include inks that specify a desired image. Tacky inks and/or tack-free inks are used in the decorative transfers. Preferred decorative transfers include crosslinkable polymers in all of the intermediate layers.

摘要： A method which forms a part by molding and applies a coating by thermal spray in one operation, thereby reducing the time to make the composite part and extending the physical properties of the part. A molding machine (56) is coupled with a thermal spray system (24) so that a mold cavity (16) may be coated while the separable mold (10) is apart. The sprayed coating (28) may be any material suitable for thermal spray. The sprayed coating (28) is deposited with low bond strength to the mold and a high surface roughness for adhesion to the material being molded. After the thermal spray system (24) and mask (30) are retracted, the mold components are assembled and the molding material is introduced into the mold as in conventional molding. After solidication of the molding material, the part is ejected from the mold as a composite, consisting of a low melting point material bonded to a coating of either high or low melting point.

摘要： A device for making decorative candles which have varied shapes and colors of wax throughout in an heated water bath and an apparatus utilizing said device comprised of multiple heated sources of melted wax suspended above an open topped waterproof box, having one side lined with a water proof gasket through which a waterproof sleeve communicates to a base plate upon which the candle is formed by moving the plate in three dimensions within the water bath and collecting thereon the colored wax, supplied to the top of the water by a heated tube means from selected sources of melted colored wax, as it sinks and cools in the water. The rate of cooling of the wax is controlled by the temperature of the water bath. The water borne wax is built up around a core candle or around a wick, stretched from the center of the plate to an arm, extending to the center of the plate from a rod extending from one edge of the plate to a selected height above the plate.

摘要： One may obtain an excellent protective coating for a fabric made of heat-resistant fibers, in particular a fabric made of glass fibers like those used for the manufacture of filters in the metallurgical industry, when use is made, as a starting material, of a composition comprising an organic part made of sugar and a mineral part comprising colloidal silica and wollastonite. This composition allows thermoforming of the fabric and gives to the same a very strong protection and a rigidity. This is particularly interesting when the fabric is used for making a filter like those used during the casting of a liquid metal, especially liquid aluminum.
