    • A saw chain for a power chain saw is provided and is formed of centrally disposed drive links and laterally disposed connecting links. The links have a flat main body which has two rivet openings through which, transverse to the longitudinal direction of the chain, rivet pins extend for a pivotable connection of the links. Some of the connecting links are embodied as cutter links, which have a cutting tooth formed on the main body, whereby at least one depth limiter is disposed in a manner so as to lead each cutting tooth. At least one part of the depth limiter is fixed in position on a chain link that is disposed on the inner side of the cutter link, and that edge of the cutting tooth that is disposed toward the front in a direction of travel extends parallel to that edge of the leading depth limiter that is disposed toward the rear in a direction of travel.

    • A glass-cutting saw blade has an elongated body adapted to move transversely to a cutting direction and having a short leading edge extending transversely to the direction, a pair of long sides extending generally parallel to the direction back from ends of the leading edge, and a short trailing edge extending transversely to the direction and bridging rear ends of the sides. A grit coating is provided both on the leading edge and on the trailing edge. The grit coatings extend partially from the respective edges onto adjacent portions of the sides. In addition the body is of rectangular section. Such a blade can be a standard jig- or reciprocating-saw blade, or can be continuous and formed as a band-saw blade.

    • A saw chain for a motor-driven chain saw (1), including for a harvester for the lumber industry, is formed from center drive links (10) and lateral connecting links (11).     • A band saw blade stabilizer for stabilizing a moving band saw blade of a band saw appliance. The blade stabilizer includes two opposing guide structures situated to form a passage there between within which the saw blade travels while the guide structures limit lateral motion thereof. An attachment mount is included for securing the guide structures above a standard work table. Preferably, at least one of the guide structures is provided with an adjustor for selective lateral movement thereof for selective change of passage width. The stabilizer can additionally include a thrust bearing situated behind the blade for limiting rearward movement thereof as can occur when a workpiece is cut. In this manner, traditional band saw appliance utility is maintained while precision-cutting versatility is enhanced as lateral and longitudinal blade movement is controlled with precision.
