摘要： A striking apparatus has a head composed of fore, mid, and aft portions with transition portions existing at the fore-mid and aft-mid junctions. The fore portion has a striking face the apex of which is a piecing edge. The striking face tapering into splitting edges away from the piercing edge. The fore portion having two sides on each of which a channel disposed for receiving the prongs of a provided tool. The longitudinal shoulders prevent the head from becoming embedded into a struck surface past the fore portion and act as fulcra for the user to more-easily retrieve the striking apparatus by lifting the striking apparatus handle.

In one implementation, the multi-purpose tool includes an elongated handle, a folding axe, and a folding shovel or spade, as well as a hammer or hammer-head. The folding axe is foldable between an open position and a closed position. The folding shovel is foldable among three positions, which are a closed shovel position, a 90-degree open shovel position, and a 180-degree extended shovel position. The elongated handle is hollow and includes an elongated cavity. A folding saw, as well as a knife and a sheath to protect the knife, are stored within the elongated cavity and can be removed therefrom.

摘要： A specialized wood splitting tool and chopping block, used together, enable cutting kindling from ordinary firewood in an effective and safe manner. The splitting tool uses leverage in addition to downward momentum of the cutting head to split wood. The metal handle and metal cutting head are preferably formed from a single piece of steel, in a perpendicular configuration similar to an adz. A splitting wedge blade within the handle exerts transverse shear forces to enhance splitting, and flat upper surfaces of the cutting head and the handle near the joint provide a striking surface. A complimentary chopping block for bracing logs of various diameters in a steady upright position has a V-shaped recess that is open on one end. The chopping block provides resistance to the unique leverage of the splitting tool during the splitting action.

摘要： An apparatus for protecting a tool from an overstrike event. The apparatus generally includes a handle, a tool head, and a collar configuration with two or more collar members adapted to separably surround the handle. The collar members are affixed to the outer surface of the handle by a first adhesive. The tool head is placed over the handle and collar members and is affixed to the outer surfaces of the collar members with a second adhesive. The tool head secures the collar members which protect the handle around its circumference in the event of an overstrike event in any direction.

摘要： A force-limiting and damping device has a body, a tapping element, and an elastic element. The body has a connecting segment and a holding segment. The connecting segment is formed on an end of the body and has a mounting hole. The holding segment is formed on the body opposite the connecting segment. The tapping element is connected to the body to move relative to the connecting segment. The elastic element is mounted between the tapping element and the connecting segment to abut against the tapping element and to enable the tapping element to move relative to the connecting segment. The structural relationship between the connecting segment, the tapping element, and the elastic element may provide a delayed rebound and damping effect to the reaction force, and the applied force is continuously transferred to a tapping object, and this may reduce noise and the loss of energy.

摘要： A VATO comprises a blade, a handle, a stabilizing assembly, and a spherical weight. In a preferred embodiment, the spherical weight makes up a significant portion of the overall weight of the VATO. The spherical weight is positioned between the blade and the handle, and the stabilizing assembly is attached to a rear portion of the handle. When the VATO is thrown, a velocity vector is established in the direction of the trajectory of the VATO. The stabilizing assembly produces aerodynamic drag which assists in keeping the blade oriented in a forward position with respect to the trajectory of the VATO. The spherical weight is permitted to freely rotate thereby enabling the blade, the handle and the stabilizing assembly to independently rotate into alignment with the trajectory of the VATO such that the blade is in a forward position as the VATO strikes a target.
