摘要： A stencil screen printing machine includes a screen retention frame horizontally reciprocable forwardly and rearwardly in one dimension for retaining and reciprocating a print stencil screen in a plane during a forward print stroke and a rearward return stroke. The stencil screen printing machine includes a rotational print cylinder beneath the frame that has a rotational axis transverse to the one dimension and that has a cylindrical peripheral surface for supporting print stock to be printed. Vertically movable lifting and lowering supports are operably associated with the print cylinder and are shiftable to place the cylinder peripheral surface and the print stock thereon upwardly at the stencil screen plane. A stencil squeegee is operably located above the plane and has a lower edge. Vertically movable lowering and lifting supports are operably associated with the squeegee and are shiftable downwardly to place the squeegee lower edge at the plane. The cylinder has a pair of ends with a plurality of circumferentially spaced chambers with respective flow orifices to the cylinder peripheral surface. A manifold control creates a negative retention pressure and also a positive discharge pressure on the print stock over portions of the peripheral surface. By this arrangement, the forwardly moving screen retention frame and the squeegee cause rotation of the cylinder and advancement of print stock on the cylinder, and the squeegee and cylinder enable stencil printing through a screen onto print stock at the plane.

In one embodiment, a method for partially printing a circuit board is disclosed. The method comprises inserting one or more blocking caps inside a pressurized squeegee head and printing with the pressurized squeegee head. In this way, defined areas on the surface of a stencil or screen, over which the blocking caps travel, are skipped. In another embodiment, a new method for manufacturing printed circuit boards is described, comprising placing a component on a circuit board, performing burn-in or testing of the component, partially printing attachment media on the circuit board with a pressurized squeegee head containing one or more blocking caps, and placing additional components on the circuit board. In one embodiment, the circuit board is sold or returned to the circuit board designer before performing the partial printing step.

In the screen printing apparatus which prints the paste on the substrate through pattern holes, the paste in a storage section is pressurized and forced out of a printing space portion through a transfer passage. The paste is given a rolling motion while it is guided by rolling guide surfaces disposed at the printing space portion, and then, the paste is filled into the pattern holes from a printing aperture formed by two scraping members.

The mixer unit comprises a lid which is hermetically fitted on the inlet opening end portion, a belt drive mechanism disposed above the lid, a mixer member which is operatively connected to the belt drive mechanism by way of a power transmission device so as to be driven for rotation about the central axis of the syringe, a pressurizing member which is mounted on the mixer member in such a manner that the pressurizing member is slidable relative to the mixer member and is rotatable with the mixer member, and a compressed air supply pipe which supplies compressed air into the syringe from the inlet opening side so as to forcibly make the pressure member slide toward the discharge opening.

The printer includes a frame, a device, mounted to the frame, having a number of perforations arranged to form the pattern, a support apparatus, coupled to the frame, that supports the substrate in a printing position beneath the device, and a material dispenser. The material dispenser has a chamber to contain the viscous material to be printed on the substrate. The chamber has an opening through which the viscous material is dispensed. The material dispenser is coupled to the frame, positioned over the device, and constructed and arranged to dispense the viscous material through the perforations in the device and onto the substrate. The material dispenser has a retraction device that prevents leakage of the viscous material from the opening after dispensing is complete.
