摘要： A spray gun includes a handle portion and an extension portion. A nozzle is connected with an outer end of the extension portion. An electrode assembly is disposed in the extension portion to establish an electrical field to electrostatically charge particles of coating material. A coating material flow control member and a purge air flow control member are disposed on the handle portion. Operation of either one of the two flow control members actuates a membrane switch assembly. Operation of the purge air flow control member directs the flow of air to the coating material passage in the extension portion to remove excess coating material from the passage and from the nozzle. Different size hand grips may be mounted on the handle portion of the spray gun to accommodate operators having hands of different sizes. Passages for air and electrical conductors are formed in the handle and extension portions of the spray gun by cooperation between outer side walls of the handle and extension portions and inner wall structures. A voltage multiplier unit in the extension portion of the spray gun is exposed to a flow of air to transfer heat from the voltage multiplier.

摘要： A non-clog actuator assembly having a flexible face member that flexes away from first and second positive shutoff mating surfaces when product under pressure flows into contact with the flexible face member. The flexible face member then resiliently springs back into abutting, sealing contact with these shutoff mating surfaces. Preferably, the device flexes away from the two shutoff mating surfaces at a predetermined minimum pressure, such as 55 psig, and then flexes back into sealing contact when the product pressure drops below this minimum pressure, thereby controlling the dispensing of the product with a positive shut off (i.e., the product is dispensed in a fairly constant pattern and then shut off rather than being very strong at the beginning of the spraying process and then dribbling out at the end or under low pressure operations).

摘要： An improved reversible airless spray tip inhibits dripping, spitting, and undesirable paint accumulation on the spray guard, while improving safety. A positioning detent on the spray tip carrier handle snaps positively into place when a nozzle carrier is rotated into spray position, indicating that the tip is properly positioned for spraying. A spray guard with airfoil-like cross-members protects the user from injury while they inhibit turbulence and prevent paint accumulation. An improved piston seal has a slot-like fluid passage, which is preferably substantially rectangular in cross section. A rearward end of the piston seal is sealed by a resilient ring compressed directly against the face of an attached spray gun. An improved tip retainer is expanded by swaging after insertion, which forces a lip into a mating slot. The tip retainer also has an expanded chamber which diffuses reverse fluid flow for safety.
