摘要： A vertical free fall system is proposed where a capsule with human beings is raised pneumatically in a tube, then is released to fall down in a free fall mode inside of the tube. The capsule has some means of controlling the air flow passing across the capsule so that the rate of deceleration is controlled. In this way the capsule is able to free fall then to be decelerated to the bottom of the tube. Also the tube has means to control the flowing air by this being possible to control the deceleration of the said capsule.

摘要： An apparatus for use in performing levitation type illusions in which the performer appears to be raised and moved about in apparent defiance of gravity. The performer is safely supported within a novel harness assembly which, in turn, is supported by a pair of wire arrays made up of a plurality of fine wires which are substantially invisible to the audience. Each of the support wires is spring loaded so as to evenly distribute the weight of the performer among the support wires which make up the arrays. The harness assembly is connected to the wire arrays in a manner that permits several degrees of movement by the performer during lifting and movement relative to the stage so that the movements by the performer appear smooth, natural and graceful.

摘要： A mobile folding choral riser includes a foldable frame having means for receiving a number of removable riser steps at progressively higher locations on the frame. Locking means are provided for releasably securing the steps to the framework. A guardrail is provided along the back of the riser, and the guardrail is pivotable to permit overlapping with the guardrails of other riser sections when a riser in forward configuration (widest step at the back) is placed adjacent a riser section in reverse configuration (narrowest step at the back). Interlocks are provided for securing adjacent riser sections together, regardless of whether individual sections are in forward or reverse configuration. The riser can be folded between transport and operational configurations with locking or holding mechanisms for each configuration.

摘要： This invention relates to theatrical illusion apparatus in general, and more specifically to an apparatus for performing a levitation illusion. The apparatus includes an improved body support frame which enhances the illusion that the suspended object or person has no external supporting means, when employed in conjunction with a rigid hoop which is passed around and over the suspended body. The support frame is supported through the aperture in a hinged lid of a trunk. The trunk has rollers for mobility when packed, and the trunk lid serves as the upper surface of a stage. A motor drive provides power to raise or lower the upper portion of the support frame with respect to the trunk stage.

摘要： A suspended theater system uses a seat moving machine comprising a passenger seat assembly disposed in between opposing seat supports which raise and lower the passenger seat assembly. One or more passenger seat beam rotators are operative to rotate the passenger seat assembly to change the pitch independently of the raising and lowering. In embodiments, rather that the seat rows being pivoted up with a rotating floor, a rotate function alters their mutual positions to one another while the lift function is taking place which brings the back seat rows up and over the front seat rows, allowing control over mutual row position during lift and in the show. Though no cables are involved, by combining the motions of lift and rotate and without any further equipment, an immersive theater system comprising the seat moving machine still employs seating that is suspended.

The staging of the invention can be assembled to form staging surfaces of variable height. The variable staging can be assembled to form staging surfaces of more than three different heights. The variable staging includes at least one platform panel and a cross brace member having at least one caster attached thereto. A slot and groove assembly comprised of at least one plate, a slot or track and at least one groove for engaging a cross pin is pivotally attached to the cross brace member. The variable staging further includes at least two cross legs; one of the cross legs has a support end and a pivot end attached to the bottom surface of the platform panel and the other cross leg has a support end and a locking end that is engaged by the slot and groove assembly. The cross legs are attached to each other at a center point. The cross legs may be further connected together by a telescoping arm connected between them. The relationship between the cross legs about their center point determines the height of the variable staging. The disclosure is further directed to a method of assembling the variable staging.
