摘要： A compression device for applying controllable compression to a portion of the anatomy of a user, includes a body, at least one memory wire embedded in the body and configured to contract in length upon application of a current so as to reduce an effective length of the body and apply a compressive force to the portion of the anatomy of the user, and a controller configured to selectively apply current to the memory wires to contract the memory wires and reduce the effective length of the body. The controller includes a circuit board supported by the body and a microcontroller mounted to the circuit board, the microcontroller programmed to actuate the memory wires according to a compression protocol stored in a memory associated with the microcontroller. Each memory wire has a first end fixedly connected to the circuit board and a second end fixed relative to the body.

摘要： A wearable massage and/or compression device for applying controllable scrolling or intermittent sequential forces, such as compression forces, to the body and limbs of a user comprises an elongated fabric body sized to encircle a limb of a user, one or more shape-memory wires carried by the fabric body and configured to apply a compression pressure to the limb through the fabric body upon changing shape in response to a stimulus, and a micro-processor based controller for selectively actuating the one or more shape-changing elements to reduce the effective diameter of the device encircling the limb, to thereby apply pressure to the limb.

摘要： An exercise device for use by a user on a support surface comprises a support assembly, an extendable neck, and one or more resilient first resistance assemblies. The support assembly supports the user relative to the support surface. The support assembly includes a support body that is engaged by the user, and a support base that supports the support body, the support base resting on the support surface. The extendable neck is movably coupled to the support assembly. More particularly, the extendable neck is selectively movable relative to the support assembly between a retracted position and an extended position. The one or more resilient first resistance assemblies are secured to the extendable neck.

摘要： A new type of exercise machine for full body and cardiovascular fitness enthusiasts. It incorporates the properties of tension physics with applied tension force displacement wherein the users' torso is attached to a moving part that tilts and is centralized along a path of lease resistance (B) and the users' hands and feet are fixed at point A and point C of that path. Having the users' hands at point (A) attached to a cable that passes through the same central point (B) by why of a pulley and proceeding to the opposite foot; point (C). The user will then, in a simulated swim stroke assert force on both ends of the cable thus moving the entire body to the right or to the left. During this movement the user has at his/her discretion the amount of resistance applied between the hands and the feet.

摘要： An aquatic doll is used to test and train rescue and life saving skills. The doll has a torso and has arms, legs, and a head all connected to the torso. The torso, arms, and legs are all substantially hollow and define a plurality of holes for filling the doll with water. A pair of feet are weighted and attached to the legs for breaking the surface of the water and causing the legs to sink initially when the doll is positioned on the water. Preferably, the head can be turned from side to side for a rescuer to simulate a water clearing technique during a rescue. In addition, the head can be tilted and has a moveable jaw for a rescuer to simulate a jaw thrust method in CPR. Finally, a spring and clicker mechanism is positioned in the hollow of the torso for simulating chest compression techniques of CPR.

摘要： A swimming simulation system is provided, aspects of which include a dynamic bench, an arm cable pulley system coupled with hand grips, a foot cable pulley system coupled with a foot hold, and a resistance mechanism with attached gearing systems. All of the assemblies are operatively connected to a support frame. A user may lay face forward on the dynamic bench, or on their back on the dynamic bench, and pull the hand grips and/or foot holds to simulate swimming. The dynamic bench comprises a fixed center portion and independently rotatable sides that are interconnected at an interior edge to the fixed center portion and to biasing members at a point away from the interior edge. The side portions move independently of each other and provide a simulation of the yaw a swimmer experiences while swimming.
