The product form includes but is not limited to tampons, panty liners, incontinence pads, diapers, sanitary towels, swabs, balls, casts, pouches, bandages and/or plugs, which contain adsorbent porous carbonaceous material that effectively reduces or eliminates adverse situations sourcing from pathogens and harmful biological by-products, including but not limited to fungi, bacteria, viruses, and parasites. The article is used to treat malodor, yeast infections, vaginitis, sexually transmitted diseases, field bullet wound holes, tooth infections, nail-bed and cuticle infections, among others by way of internal insertion and/or complete covering the body cavity, wound, and/or affected areas, creating a clear and direct path for contact with pathogens and adverse biological by-products.

The bandage may be a flexible, stretchable, hydrophilic bandage that reduces the risk of infection at a wound by providing a moist environment that will aid in optimum release of silver ions into the wound.

The word gel is meant to apply to a viscous semi-solid which can be applied over surfaces in an adherent film and will disperse and move in response to the movement of the practitioner's hands in molding and forming the adhesive bandage around the limb. It is to be distinguished from a free-flowing liquid which when applied to a limb drips and causes the messy environment described above.

摘要： The bandage has a substrate, a tacky liquid-curable prepolymer resin in contact with the substrate and a permeable core on which said substrate is wrapped for storage. The core of the bandage has a lubricant adapted to be released from the core such that the lubricant renders the surface portion of the substrate substantially non-tacky to facilitate molding, laminating and smoothing of a cast to be formed from the bandage. The cores have a liquid-permeable base and a lubricant in accordance with the lubricant provided to the core of the bandage. The method includes unwinding the bandage from the core, applying the bandage to a limb to form a cast, contacting the core with liquid, applying force to the core to release lubricant from the core onto the applier's hands and molding, laminating and smoothing a surface portion of the cast rendered substantially non-tacky by the lubricant on the applier's hands.
