    • The present invention relates to a method for use in creating a prosthetic denture device such as a denture component formed of a set of hard teeth bonded within an adjustable frame assembly. The frame assembly may be completely or substantially formed having adjustable frame portion which is formed from a composition that is centrifugally cast, and which when cured becomes rigid but not completely polymerized and therefore capable of being subsequently remolded with finger pressure when elevated in temperature. In this manner the adjustable frame portion is remoldable and conformable to desired portions of the oral cavity in the creating of an artificial denture.

    • A method and apparatus for making a molded prosthesis such as a denture, a partial, an orthondic appliance, or the like by way of a mold flask permitting the prosthesis to be obtained by means of injection molding. A first half mold is made of a cast of the buccal tissue portion bearing the prosthesis, a wax pattern of the prosthesis is disposed in adhesion to the appropriate portion of the cast and the cast is placed in a flask where it is held in position by appropriate holding means. Investment material is poured between the tissue cast and the side of the flask, and once set forms the second half of the mold. The two halves of the mold are removed from the flask and the wax pattern is removed. The two halves of the mold are returned to the flask and held in appropriate registration, and an appropriate hardenable fluid material is injected into a gate into the cavity resulting from the removal of the prosthesis pattern and the material allowed to set to a solid form, thus providing the molded prosthesis. The molded prosthesis requires very little, if any, finishing work for providing an accurately fitted denture, partial, orthondic appliance, or other prosthetic part.

    • Using a highly flowable silicone putty which can be combined with catalysts to set, dentures can be repaired and modified by flowing the putty onto the dentures, allowing it to set while in intimate contact therewith, removing the dentures from the set putty for effecting changes, and subsequently reinserting the dentures in the set putty to effect any necessary changes, modifications or repairs. Prior art practices often used dental stone which had to be chipped away from the dentures when effecting repair or modification. Methods of repairing and modifying dentures herein described involve the steps of forming a flowable mass of moldable, settable silicone putty which has been mixed with a catalyst to cause it to progressively set, molding said putty to a denture surface and allowing it to set while in intimate contact with said denture, thereafter extracting said denture from said putty by flexing the latter, effecting the necessary changes to said denture and subsequently replacing said denture in said set putty by flexing the latter to obtain the proper positioning thereof for effecting any necessary changes and repairs.

    • The present invention relates to a method for use in creating a prosthetic denture device that is an impression tray or a denture component formed of a set of hard teeth bonded within a frame assembly formed of a permanent substantially rigid hard frame portion and an adjustable frame portion that is integrally joined to the rigid frame portion and forms part of the frame assembly. The adjustable frame portion is formed from a second composition that is centrifugally cast, and which when cured becomes rigid but not completely polymerized and therefore capable of being subsequently remolded with finger pressure when elevated in temperature. In this manner the adjustable frame portion is remoldable and conformable to desired portions of the oral cavity in the creating of an artificial denture, and the rigid frame portion formed from the first composition concurrently remains fixed as the adjustable frame portion is remolded.
