摘要： The present invention relates to an osteosynthesis device, particularly for spinal support or correction, enabling easier and compact implantation, that can be particularly used in the case of implantation via the anterior approach, and a preassembly method for such a device. Said device comprises implants screwed into two vertebrae and one plate characterized in that the plate is joined to at least one implant by attachment structure able to hold said plate without preventing the implant from rotating on its screwing axis, or without preventing a specified clearance of the plate with respect to the implant. In this way, said attachment structure make it possible to continue screwing the implant, or adjust the position of the plate after the plate has been on the implant.

摘要： A spacer and method of using the spacer for positioning between and spacing vertebral members. The spacer is positionable between a first position having a reduced size to be minimally invasive when inserted into the patient between the vertebral members. The spacer is expandable up to a second position to contact the vertebral members. In one embodiment, a delivery device is attached to position the spacer within the patient. The delivery device may remain connected to the spacer, or may be removable with the spacer remaining within the patient as the delivery device is removed. In one embodiment, the spacer comprises a first member and a second member each positioned about a middle member. Middle member moves relative to the first and second members with angled surfaces contacting to deploy the spacer between the closed and open orientations.

摘要： An adjustable spinal fixation system is composed of a collection of anchoring assemblies attached, via a variety of connectors, to spine-stabilizing rods. The anchoring assemblies include a linking member attached in a ball-and-socket fashion to a bone-engaging member that is adapted to engage a spinal bone of a patient. The linking member joins one of the included connectors to an associated bone-engaging member. The connectors are selectively attached to one of the stabilizing rods. The anchoring assemblies each include a support collar and a split retention ring that cooperate to allow adjustment of the bone-engaging member and corresponding connector during surgery. When surgery is complete, a securing nut and locking bolt cooperate with the support collar and split retention ring to maintain the relative position of the entire fixation system, preventing unwanted movement between the system components.
