    • A dog run and apparatus adapted to accommodate more than one dog. The apparatus includes a spring-tensioned run line. One end of a primary leash line is mounted on the run line via a swivel connection and pulley. One end of a secondary leash line is mounted on the primary leash line via a swivel connection and pulley. A second end of the primary and secondary leash lines is connected to a respective dog's collar. The elevation of the run line above grade and the linear dimensions of the run line and leash lines have been chosen to afford ample run area for the dogs and to provide room for maneuvering without causing the leash lines to tangle and snarl.

    • In stanchions of the type used for milking and/or feeding but primarily the feeding of cattle, a stanchion structure having vertically-spaced upper and lower horizontal members with swing pipes defining spaced positions for accommodating cattle in spaced, captive relationship and having intermediate vertical support posts, an improved structure is provided employing an extending turn bar having spaced depending posts, detents, or tabs, wherein locking flipper members are pivotally secured to each of the swing pipes so that the individual swing pipes may be selectively opened either individually or in unison to permit free access or egress from the spaced, cattle positions by the cattle and wherein the locking mechanisms are protected by the swing pipe structure so as to inhibit opening of the locking mechanism by cattle. The invention is also directed to a conversion kit for existing stanchion structures to provide for the locking feature in a simple and economically feasible manner.

    • A portable squeeze chute apparatus. The apparatus includes a chute having opposing sidewalls, an entrance end and an exit end. The sidewalls are selectively pivotable toward one another in order to inhibit lateral movement of an animal positioned in the chute. Movement of the sidewalls is actuated through a control chain which is connected to the sidewalls through a mechanical linkage. The control chain is selectively latched in position by a lock which is pivotally connected to the chute. The lock includes a tubular body through which the control chain passes. The tubular body includes a notch which selectively engages the control chain. A tailgate having interconnected door sections is mounted on the entrance end of the chute for selectively admitting an animal to the chute The tailgate and the sidewall squeezing mechanism include special mountings and bumpers which are adapted to reduce noise generated by operation of the apparatus.

    • This invention pertains to combination seed capsules wherein each seed capsule includes both moieties of at least one soil conditioner and at least one seed, and optionally, one or more inorganic chemical fertilizer, growth enhancer, binder, and/or anti-fungal agent. The combination seed capsules are made by physically combining the respective soil conditioner and seed with one other, in the absence of any requirement for chemical reactions in the process of so combining the respective materials. The combination seed capsules provide cooperative and beneficial effects of the soil conditioner and the optional inorganic fertilizer, working together in controlled intimate relation with the seed, to enhance the germination and growth processes of the seed, and the plant emergent therefrom, greater than when the soil conditioner and seed, and optionally inorganic chemical fertilizer, are applied to the soil separately; the improvement being a result of the intimate relationship of the respective materials in the combination seed capsule, whereby the respective materials cooperate with each other in support of germination and plant growth.
