摘要： The present invention discloses containers for storing fishing lures, baited or unbaited hooks, terminal tackle, fishing accessories, bait, fishing lines and other fishing devices (nulltarget objectsnull). The containers are designed for quick and efficient insertion of the target objects into the containers. Fasteners attached to such containers, in addition to closing the opening of the containers, allow for quick attachment and detachment of the containers to and from a fishing rod, thereby capturing and retaining line and thus minimizing entanglement. These fastening devices may also be used to attach the containers to other non-rod objects such as boats or clothing for immediate access to or storage of target objects. All versions of containers may be formed of at least partially clear plastic or other materials for ready identification of the contained materials.

摘要： The present invention concerns a fly fishing rod with a detachable reel and reel seat assembly. The fly fishing rod of the present invention comprises a rod shaft and a handgrip disposed at an inner end rod shaft, and is adapted for removably connecting a reel to the handgrip by means of a hollow cylindrical reel seat. The rod shaft of the fly fishing rod has a portion extending past the handgrip so as to mount the reel thereon through the reel seat, rearwardly of the handgrip. A sleeve like adapter is engaged over the shaft portion and comprises a locking groove. The reel seat is slidable over the adapter and has a stud portion arranged to be engaged in the locking groove for connecting the reel seat to the handgrip, and to be removed thereon by disengaging the stud portion from the locking groove, thereby making it possible to dispose the reel seat away from the fly fishing rod. The disclosure of the present invention also relates to a reel and reel seat assembly holding device and a waist holder for the holding device.

摘要： A boot for covering a gimbaled butt end of a fishing rod includes a neck portion and an enlarged base with a body engaging surface structured and disposed for comfortable engagement against the body of a fisherman to thereby protect the body from pain and injury caused by the gimbaled butt end. An open end of the neck portion communicates with a hollow receptacle extending axially through the neck portion for receipt of the butt end therein. An inner wall surface surrounding the receptacle is tapered from the open end to a bottom of the receptacle and frictionally engages the butt end to hold the boot on the fishing rod. The body engaging surface is softer, smoother and larger than the butt end of the rod to thereby increase the force displacement area against the fisherman's body when fighting a fish.
