摘要： A weed cutting apparatus includes a handle coupled to a head at a distal end. The head has a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is proximal to the handle and the second end is distal thereto. The second end is formed and sharpened to form a blade with a plurality of tines extending from the blade. Alternatively, a bladed member may be an aftermarket attachment coupled via channels to a medial end of a plurality of tines on a pitchfork. As a result, any weed or object that passes through the plurality of tines is cut by the blade. In some examples, the first end of the head may have other working features, such as grooves or apertures for uprooting the roots of a severed weed.

摘要： The disclosed invention describes a device and means for removing weeds and the like from the ground. The device is a simply attachment for a drill. The device comprises a body with a shaft protruding from the center and at least two prongs protruding from the opposite side of the body at distances equidistant from the center. The free end of the shaft is placed into a drill and the prongs are forced into the ground so that they are placed around a weed. The user operates the drill, spinning the prongs around the weed. The prongs entangle the weeds roots and bore a small hole in the ground, allowing the user to easily remove the weed. The prongs are then placed into the ground close to the hole and the drill is slowly operated, thus refilling the hole.

The rod has a mechanical lock near one end that connects the rod mechanically to the frame, and a base portion near the opposite end. The base portion includes pins that extend into soil around the weed to grasp the weed, and a foot pedal on which the user rests his weight to drive portions of the device into the soil. A spring is compressed when the pins are driven into the soil and grasp the weed, and upon removal of the weed and a plug of soil the mechanical lock can release the spring to expand and thereby eject the weed and soil with force sufficient to propel the weed many feed into a receptacle.

摘要： A posthole digger has first and second spaced-apart, substantially upright, pivotably attached handles. First and second cooperating scoops extend from respective proximal ends of the handles. The scoops are moveable between a generally open position for penetrating the ground surface, and a generally closed position for excavating. A cleaning attachment includes a stationary hollow sleeve attached adjacent the proximal ends of the handles. An elongate slide rod is received within the sleeve and extends between the handles for sliding vertical movement relative to the handles. An inner scraper is attached to an end of the slide rod, and is positioned between the first and second scoops. A spring engages the slide rod and normally urges the inner scraper upwardly into a storage position adjacent a top end of the scoops. A foot extension is formed with the inner scraper and is depressed by the foot of a user against the force of the spring to move the inner scraper downwardly along the length of the scoops. An outer scraper is secured to the foot extension and resides in closely-spaced relation to an outside surface of the scoops. The outer scraper is movable in unison with the inner scraper to clean away accumulated earthen matter from inside and outside surfaces of the scoops in the open position.

A sharpened shovel blade is secured to the distal end of each of the elongated arm members, and a hinge pivotally secures the sharpened shovel blades to each other. A handle bar is secured perpendicular to the outer surface of each elongated arm member at the proximal end of the elongated arm member, and a foot peg is secured perpendicular to the outer surface of each elongated arm member at the distal end, thus allowing a user to alternatively drive the sharpened shovel blades into the ground by holding the improved post hole digger by the handle bars so that the sharpened shovel blades point into the ground, and then jumping upon the foot pegs.

摘要： Disclosed is a new single handle post hole digger for excavating a constant diameter shaft in the ground for setting fence posts and the like. The single handle post hole digger comprises a stationary arcuate shovel blade pivotally connected to a movable arcuate shovel blade. The movable blade has an earth piercing position wherein the movable blade lies parallel to the stationary blade such that the extended arcs of the blades describe a cylinder. The movable blade also has an earth removing position wherein the lower edge of the movable blade is angled inwardly toward the stationary blade to define a scoop. An elongated gripping handle extends longitudinally from the blades. Blade control is accomplished with an actuator lever, pivotally mounted on the gripping handle, connected to the movable shovel blade by a control rod. Moving the lever in one direction positions the movable blade for earth piercing whereas moving the lever in the other direction positions the movable blade for earth removing.
