    • A perforation apparatus includes a punch housing 4 having an aperture through which 8 piping is longitudinally and rotationally moveable and one or more punches 7 arranged radially around the aperture to perforate the piping, a driven annular housing 3 including an aperture corresponding to the punch housing aperture, a punch retracting mechanism 5, and one or more rollers 6 axially secured to the annular housing, with the annular housing 3 rotatable adjacent the punch housing 4 such that the or each roller 6 rolls around the punch housing 4 and operates the or each punch 7 upon contact, and wherein the retracting 5 mechanism retracts the or each punch after said contact. A control system may be provided to coordinate the longitudinal and rotational movement of the piping with the operation of the punches. A mandrel assembly may also be provided to support the piping during punching and to remove punch waste.

    • There is provided a counter-rotating spindle transmission. More specifically, in one embodiment, there is provided a punching machine comprising a tool bearing configured to mate with a punching tool, a rotary/lifting drive coupled to the tool bearing to move the tool bearing axially along a tool bearing lifting axis and to rotate the tool bearing about the lifting axis, the rotary/lifting drive comprising a first motor coupled to drive a first spindle transmission coupled to the tool bearing, a second motor coupled to drive a second spindle transmission coupled to the tool bearing, and a drive controller configured to independently and simultaneously drive both the first and second motors selectively in a common rotary sense and in a contra-rotary sense, to jointly move the tool bearing both axially and rotationally.

    • A mounting device, for mounting a plurality of buttons (100) on a product, includes a supporting member (30), a punching member (40), and a driving member (50) for driving the punching member. The supporting member includes a supporting panel (10), a plurality of holding portions (12) fixed on the supporting panel for supporting the product, a molding board (20) having a plurality of molding holes (22) corresponding to button holes of the product, a platform (32), and a base (34) fixed on the platform for supporting the molding board. The punching member includes a retaining member (42) positioned above the supporting member, and a plurality of cutters (44) fixed to the retaining member for cutting the buttons off a button assembly. Each of the cutters includes an axial through hole coupled to a vacuum generator for creating suction to hold the buttons on the cutters.

    • A paper punch has a base, two cutters, two articulated linkages and a lever. The base has a top, an open bottom, a cavity, two punch holes and two brackets. The punch holes are defined through the top. The brackets are mounted on the top and each bracket has two guide slots. The cutters are slidably mounted respectively in the brackets and each cutter has a blade. The articulated linkages are pivotally mounted respectively on the brackets and each has a lower link and an upper link. The lower link is mounted pivotally and slidably on a corresponding bracket. The upper link is mounted pivotally on a corresponding lower link. The lever is mounted pivotally on the brackets and is connected pivotally to the upper links of the articulated linkages. The articulated linkages allow a user to press the lever without strenuous effort when punching holes through paper sheets.
