摘要： The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lathe positioning apparatus such that a work held by a chuck can be positioned at an arbitrary position in main shaft direction and the installation space and the size of the apparatus can be decreased. A lathe positioning apparatus for positioning a work W held by a chuck 6 in a main shaft 4 direction is provided with an apparatus body 12 having a shaft center along the main shaft 4 direction. An abutting portion 26 for abutting the work W is formed on a chuck 6 side end of the apparatus body 12. A mechanism for advancing or withdrawing the abutting portion 26 with respect to the chuck 6 is provided. An extension/contraction mechanism for extending or contracting the apparatus body 12 in the main shaft 4 direction is provided in the apparatus body 12. The abutting portion 26 is advanced or withdrawing with respect to the chuck 6 by the extending or contracting by the extension/contraction mechanism.

The end of the threaded rod can be used to engage and stabilize rod stock during its machining. For machining disk-shaped workpieces, a plurality of radially extending arms can be affixed to the cylindrical body portion and cap screws threaded into any of several recesses in the arms, as a function of the workpiece's diameter, to engage and stabilize the disk.

摘要： An apparatus and method for automatically compensating for the lateral runout between an on-car lathe apparatus and a vehicle hub axis including one or more stop discs that rotate with the drive shaft of the lathe and that can be selectively stopped from rotating with the shaft by a stop mechanism. In response to such stopping, one or more adjustment discs are caused to rotate in order to adjust the relative position of the axis of the lathe with respect to the axis of the disc brake assembly. In this manner, the system compensates for and corrects lateral runout that exists between two concentrically attached rotating shafts.

摘要： The invention provides a clamping device for machine tools capable of preventing the occurrence of impressions. In a clamping device for machine tools, a tailstock (movable carriage) is provided on a top face of a fixed bed and the tailstock is positioned and fixed with respect to the fixed bed. The tailstock is supported by linear-motion bearings (guides) which are disposed between the tailstock and the fixed bed. Blocks are slidably engaged with rails extending in the travel direction with rollers interposed between them. Further, a recess portion extending in the travel direction is formed in the top surface of the fixed bed. A cylinder mechanism is arranged so that left and right inner walls in the recess portion are pressed by a pair of pistons provided on the undersurface of a headstock.

摘要： A quick-change tool holder for a lathe including a tool carriage, the holder comprising a support member adapted to be mounted on the tool carriage, a tool holder member adjacent the support member and including a first bore extending generally perpendicularly from the support member, and a second bore extending at about a right angle from the first bore. The holder also includes a mechanism for attaching the tool holder member to the support member, which mechanism comprises a mounting member which is detachably mounted on the support member, which is received in the first bore in the tool holder member, and which includes a bore. The attaching mechanism also includes a bolt which is received in the second bore, and which is movable between an operating position, wherein the bolt penetrates the bore in the mounting member and secures the mounting member in the first bore in the tool holder member, and a nonoperating position, wherein the bolt is withdrawn from the bore in the mounting member so that the tool holder member is detached from the mounting member.
