摘要： A multi-component binding-strap fastener for binding volumetric objects with a strap tension a strap around the volumetric objects is described. The strap may engage the binding-strap fastener by bending an end of the strap to secure the strap through a plurality of apertures in the binding-strap fastener, by friction, by pressure, by any combination of the foregoing, or other suitable manner. A binding-strap fastener may lock in a closed position using a locking device, such as an over-center mechanism, a retaining clip, or a strap-engaging portion. The A binding-strap fastener has a hinge located thereon between a first end of the binding-strap fastener and a second end of the binding-strap fastener, where the axis of rotation is coincident with the hinge and the axis of rotation is located above the volumetric object.

In other embodiments, a wire-core strap can include transverse ridges, holes, or other types of grooves or apertures.

摘要： A releasable strap mount having a strap body and a cooperating locking head. The strap body is elongated between first and second ends with an outer interlock engagement member positioned adjacent to the first end. The locking head has an interface surface and an opposite external interconnect, and a passageway extended therethrough that is sized to accept the strap body lengthwise therethrough. The locking head also has an interlock member for releasably interlocking with the outer interlock engagement member of the strap body within the passageway. A releasable rotation coupling is formed between the locking head and the second end of the strap body. The strap body has a plurality of intervening coupling members spaced at intervals along a length thereof, and the strap body is divisible adjacent to each of the intervening coupling members between the intervening coupling member and its second end for shortening the strap body.

The coupler/coupling ring assembly is suited for interconnecting lengths of cable, particularly suited for, but not limited to, undersea applications such as attaching a seismic data recording device to the coupler via the coupling ring.

In another embodiment, the center layer includes a plurality of closely spaced, pneumatically interconnected inflatable hemispheres. The traffic barrier covers may include planter box receptacles set into their upper surfaces when installed, and/or solar cells set into their upper surfaces to charge a storage battery for powering lighting set into the sides of the cover. Tread patterns may be provided in the outer surfaces of the traffic barrier covers.
