    • An apparatus for installing and removing a flow restrictor from a differential pressure measurement device with a seal housing attached to the differential measurement device. The seal housing being sealed to the fitting opening and having a channel connecting the fitting opening and a housing opening. The seal housing has first, second and third seals spaced along the channel. The distance between the first and third seals is greater than the height of the flow restrictor. The first, second and third seals are retractable between an extended, sealing position and a retracted, open position. At least one bleeder valve is positioned between the first and third seals for equalizing pressure between the channel and an external pressure. A series of rotating drivers are spaced along the channel and move the flow restrictor along the channel between the receptacle in the fitting and the housing opening of the seal housing.

    • This invention relates to a housing having a shaft with a drill bit for tapping a pressurized fluid pipe. A saddle having a valve is attached to a pipe. A housing having a shaft passing therethrough is threaded to the valve. A drill bit is attached to one end of the shaft and a drill is connected to the other end of the shaft. The housing has a chamber in which the drill bit is retracted before connecting the housing to the valve. With the valve in the open position, the shaft is extended until the drill bit engages the pipe. The drill rotates the drill bit and cuts a hole in the pipe. The housing is sealed such that fluid entering the housing chamber does not escape along the shaft. The shaft and drill bit is then withdrawn into the housing chamber and the valve closed. The housing is then removed from the valve and a branch pipe connected thereto. The valve is then opened to fluidly connect a branch.

    • An isolation tool for temporarily isolating a section of pipeline has foldable semi-circular sealing element halves that, when unfolded, combine to form a primary and secondary sealing element. The element halves unfold by rotating an inner bar about an outer bar. A bleed hole permits any fluid which leaks past the primary sealing element and into the annular space between the sealing elements to enter a longitudinal bleed passageway located within the tool itself, thereby eliminating the need for a bleed port or valve to be welded onto the pipeline. The tool, which is pressure balanced, is well adapted for use in applications in which the lateral access opening is significantly smaller in diameter than the pipe diameter.
