摘要： In a method for translation of a medical database query from a first language into a second language, a query to be translated is received from a use of the medical database. A respective translation for the query from each of several translation engines is obtained, and a respective ranking score for each of the obtained translations is determined. The determined ranking scores are then utilized to select a translations from the several obtained translations. The selected translation is then provided to the user and/or is used to search the medical database to obtain search results for the query and the obtained search results are then provided to the user.

For each of a set of selected context attributes, the facility, determines a target frequency with which values of the selected context attribute are to be logged. Then, for each obtained context attribute value, the facility writes the obtained value to a storage device in a manner that identifies its context attribute.

In the bio-item searching apparatus, the storage device stores a bio-item literature set having a literature in which the bio-item name is described for each of bio-items. The control device searches each of the bio-item literature sets with the keyword to acquire the number (Nh) of literatures including the keyword for each of the bio-items, selects the bio-item in which the number-of-literatures Nh is 1 or larger as a candidate bio-item, creates, for each of the candidate bio-items, a number-of-literatures table constituted by any one or both of a) the number-of-literatures Nh, and b) the number of literatures each not including the keyword and including the bio-item name (the number of literatures in the bio-item literature set of the bio-item—Nh), calculates a correlation score between the bio-item and the keyword based on statistical calculation by using the number-of-literatures table for each of the candidate bio-items, and outputs the candidate bio-items to the output device based on the correlation score.
