    • An emergency shower system attaches to a water pipe behind a wall and a valve mounted to the pipe. A frame is mounted to the wall around the valve, and a panel connected to the frame for covering an opening in the wall. The panel has an opening, and a plate is mounted to the panel to close the panel opening. A handle is mounted to the plate. A linkage is pivotally connected to the plate and to the valve. Vertical movement of the handle and plate are translated to rotational movement by the linkage to operate the valve. The handle only moves vertically at a constant distance from the wall. An eye/face wash station may be included. The eye/face wash station includes a pull down tray with spray nozzles. The nozzles are connected to another valve which is opened by the rotation of the pull down tray.

    • An apparatus for controlling a flow of fluid in an emergency fixture is disclosed. The apparatus includes a body and a control element at least partially located in the body and configured to impart rotation into the fluid flow. The control element includes an inlet that receives the fluid flow. The control element also includes a first outlet portion configured to guide a first portion of the fluid flow out of the control element as an axial flow and a second outlet portion configured to provide rotation to a second portion of the fluid flow relative to the axial flow. The first portion of the fluid flow exits the control element at a position downstream from the position that the second portion of the fluid flow exits the control element.

    • The modular building system of this invention relates generally, but not exclusively, to habitations. The system comprises at least two individual room or space modules which are individually secured to their foundations and at least one additional individual room or space module which structurally spans between and interconnects at least two of the aforementioned foundation secured modules.In the preferred embodiment of this invention, the enclosing shells of the modules are comprised of a plurality of prefabricated sections, the shapes of which are derived from the geometry of a spherical square. A great variety of floor plan arrangements can be realized within the scope of the invention by interconnecting individual room or space modules, either laterally or vertically into various groupings, any one of which comprises one particular building.

    • A portable knockdown decontamination chamber is disclosed for use with a liquid decontaminant supply to apply a confined liquid decontaminant wash to a subject located in the chamber. A base of the chamber includes an upwardly opening channel formed generally around its periphery. A wall construction having arcuate corner panels and planar panels therebetween includes a lower edge shaped to fit in the channel so that the corner and planar panels are supported on the base with the lower edge residing in the channel. The base is formed by a subbase and a liner that have interacting rib structures, and the ribs are configured to provide a drainage network so that liquid accumulating in the channel is drained into a sump formed at one end of the base. A top has a downwardly opening groove extending generally around its periphery for receiving an upper edge of the wall construction so that the top can be placed in a supporting relationship on the wall construction. The configuration of the arcuate corner panels and the channel and groove in the base and top produces a coupling of the wall construction between the base and top that resists horizontal loading in all directions.
